Sounds like your capable of working it out so waiting for calcs mate thanks ha - the wiring is beefy as you say. My fcm is part number 3AO 919 506 . There is also a control unit available with the same part number above but with a A on the end - maybe the fan control unit would be more suitable

What 80's - 90s cars for sale have caught your eye recently.

Yeah that looks a good one- I wonder what colour that is its and if it has the same paint code as a Corrado - it looks like dusty mauve . These have doubled in the last 18 months in price - I believe the parts to be extremely expensive, One cool feature you could get on them was rear pop out windows like happich but they were electric. -

Whats that of Dox? For some reason I cant get on fb marketplace- got a mail off fb saying I had been phised (whilst on FB (fake site and I signed in they reckon ) and they are checking no sale were made in my name or buys I guess was also asked to change my password. -
What do the twin slimline fans take in power on setting 3 as that is two motors running at the same time whereas the stock set up is just one motor? I like the stock set up be honest as the slimline are to noisy for me tbh.

Im not electrical expert far from it in fact but the fan is 12v so it think that is the important thing. Cant see it been an issue as its a superseded part number for fan ending with J- after studying diagram you can see its in the same section as normal abv (not towing and hot climate) however has been uprated to top power of 450 same as the towing in warm climate fan . https://www.ilcats.ru/vw/?function=getParts&market=RDW&model=COR&modelcode=76&year=1995&group=9&subgroup=959&part=238000&language=en

This is the seller mate. You might see them as a few different names but they are all the same company. Had a few things now off them some been the last couple of parts available before they go obsolete. Seem to have there own stock or an agreement off the Classics that they reserve a couple of everything for them . https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/tshopabs

Think it cost in total around £260 - but from what I can see is the only OE fitting fan motor in the world ha.(with 4 pins) This fan will probably out live me I guess as well as proper Bosch not like the modern stuff.
-
So fan arrived today and its a success -has 4 pins . Also got a new plug and fittings. Youll see your fan has a K last number but that is obsolete- only difference is this fan is for cars with towing and hot climate so setting three is 450 watt rather then 350 watt so bonus really. Highly recommend the Latvian seller on ebay - quicker then Heritage by weeks and also on many occasions seems to have the last couple of stock pieces even if classics do not have them- great seller. I know Sean uses them as well.
-
Ive heard this to - like RS models 12 years old and they cant get the parts.
-
Im just window shopping to be honest- I have a hunch that Audi classic parts would be even worse to source then VW ?
-
Beautiful car and colour - I deal for Irish roads I imagine Ive missed the boat of the S2 now - could of get one for 8k a year or so back but now up to 20k plus. Can still get a 5 cylinder one for reasonable money but they do seem to suffer from under body rust, The S2 is the special one though in tha mark and of course the estate but I like the coupe. .
-
Does sound a bit fishy - new shcrick cam would be the safe bet I guess.
-
You can do better then that Geri how about a VW Motorsport camshaft - would have to check it fits of course. Would want to see evidence of course it is what it says. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Motorsport-G60-CAMSHAFT/293479622797?hash=item4454bfa88d:g:uMUAAOSwff5eSZh4

Nice collection mate would hate to think what you would have to pay for that collection in the future with recent appreciation of vag classics. I keep looking at the 5 cylinder Audi 80s but the S2 - was considering last year but they have hit the roof now ( im on about the coupe not the estate.) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_S2 I pretty sure these are 8V cam cover - would look cool on the G60 they have been remade by Schrick recently. Good to hear chap what cars you have now in your collection .
-
There are two 4 stud versions knocking about and the 5 stud have been known as the Vento cup alloys but they are vwms alloys that were issued to race teams as part of a package .

I think sometimes a business is built round one mans genius and when that man is no longer there the business may not be or be what is was. I believe Andre sold it once and purchased back some years later as it was maybe failing. I would say his in his 70s now.
-
Hi Geri, Hope all is well not seen you on here much lately . Gemini is still up and running and can still build you the full works straight cut dogleg or add on 3 - 6 or 5 -6 . His in the Midlands and I had the job at a school not far away in fact round the corner and popped in their and mentioned Vince from Stealth that use to work for him that broke the ice - he still has some casings left but once they are gone they gone + his in his 70s now so one needs buy rather then consider. mask was worn and kept distance . Stealth will be building the gearbox - its just a small project really with bolt on parts

Ha the spare one is for my the mantle piece above my fire and will sit next to a few other style wheels - beats some naf ornaments- however good pictures there and left link to seller who has made the decal so let the hunt begin - cheaper to buy the wheel and decal because what would one of these sell to for complete - probably daft money . If anyone finds one feel free to pm and I will confirm its a correct wheel.
-
Probably will go with black rather the white as that is more Mk2 era then rado.
-
Thanks Dox, The question is I have some balck and white decals as well same as the vento motorsport decals. I also have a decal for the gear knob. Do I go with black and blue like in brochure- white and blue - or black and white to match the alloy wheel decals. ???????? By the way I highly recommend this seller from Esty - turned them out delivered under 2 weeks and pretty good value at 4 handmade decals any logo and resin for £17 delivered. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/875592255/metal-stickers-custom-car-wheels-center Badge below he made.

The next parts to be added to my mini project Tempest. Japan VWMS Momo steering wheels . Took me a year to identify the steering wheels- manufactured in 1992 - finally one day saw one on ebay through visual identification from Russia- next day another one popped up from Belgium- one had an Alpina decal and the other was blank so I proceeded to get the VWMS decals made- by the way this is all VWMS did was get the decals made as the steering wheel is a top of the range Momo used on JDM specials and Lambo - was used by Motor Tuning houses as could just put their own decal on the Momo. How nice are those 4 stud VWMS alloys !!! To be continued.
-
Dont quote me on it but I believe this to be the seller and says 17 7J. + 18 https://www.facebook.com/crcustomwheels/posts/425891614275867

They look pretty good on this Rallye. Think they are only made in 17 and wouldnt fit a my mk2 valver the splits - but would be over the moon to restore a stock set .
-
This looks a good buy if you dont mind 15s the 5 stud RJ. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BBS-RZ-409-Alloys-15-Mk3-Golf/224321954642?hash=item343aa16352:g:57MAAOSw8ZFgB1Z5
