Call me Shaun over the weekend mate if you want a chat about one 👍

So you know me to well Sean ! Today I had the pleasure of meeting Andre owner of Gemini Transmissions - had a good chat with him and about his history with VW- he really is there go to for any gearbox tech dilemma- he was telling me in the 80s how he saved there ass on the Rallye gearing and he was royalty there for a few years- also on his 2000s Jetta diesel he has a VW prototype ecu and getting 125 mpg - he showed me his average mpg on his clock - also showed me a De Tomaso gearbox that he built cost 58k for a Hong Kong Consortium - really is top of his game- his in his 70s now and really hope his knowledge and company stays around for future generations. This is the first add on to my project which Im calling Tempest - the build is based on genuine vag/Vwms parts that would of been available to the engineers at the time if it was not for the accountants only spraying a grill and adding a decal to call special edition. a violent windy storm. "a raging tempest" as its a bit stronger then a storm (sorry couldn't help that puke ) . Dox caught on to this pretty early. When other parts arrive I will update. GENUINE VW Motorsport/ Gemini Transmissions Helical 6th add on gear kit for 02A / 02J Gear Box Ratios ---------------- 5TH 6TH OPTION 1 - (0.79) (0.75) Pictures below are some of the drilling to casing which allows lubrication - Andre said many a race team had not done this and cause premature failure.

Good luck with your project and thanks for introducing yourself. Here are the tank straps ST mentioned. Mine came with bolts and washers to. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vr6-GOLF-CORRADO-MIRROR-STAINLESS-STEEL-GOLF-TANK-STRAPS-70-litre/233886440151?hash=item3674b7dad7:g:srIAAOxy9tpSA0~7 Im on Instagram with quite a few Corrado shares - my username is keyorado1 - look me up and I will follow you 👍

Yep cheap enough tbf.
-
Yeah thats the seller- he deserves an award for making a schrick look so ugly - its that ugly its almost special.
-
I have seen some of his videos - top of his game and good watch. I must add though Vince use to work for Andre at Gemini so very knowledgeable and use to build the doglegs up.
-
Your all making the right comments but what I call a proper Gemini VWMS gearbox would be to harsh for me - straight cut and dog leg that is hardcore track and noisey - what an amazing bit of engineering though and a asset to have this company in the UK Watch this video of the lucky seller who found this on a red corrado G60 at the scrappers. No dealt was a member on here once ?? lot of chatter go to 11.00. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3AzsLhCNzE In fact on my window shopping I came across this piece gem - o2o Mk2 full boar straight cut dogleg 6 speed - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/020-Motorsport-Dog-box-With-Kazza-Diff-Gearbox-Rare-Mk1-Golf-Mk2-Golf-G60/254841976910?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144

Cant give no more away Dox its just a teaser for now but all will be revealed.
-
Your thinking is logical- a big reveal will be updated on my thread latter in Spring.
-
Black magic will be upgraded in the next couple of months to my own take on a special edition- just getting the parts together . Here is one of the nos parts that will be needed for one of the upgrades. This part I will be modding it.
-
Congratulations a fine bit of mechanical art right there !
-
You would go 268 cams with a schrick = although I have heard they can run a little lumpy on 268 cams- not sure of this is true. I run mine on stock cams.
-
As far as Im aware you need a map otherwise will lead to pinking- you could phone Vince and ask him to buy a chip and how he fits them to the ecu - also I imagine you have the bar tek gaskets.
-
Ok welcome I look forward to your sales add.

Another very rare golf. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-MK2-G60-SYNCRO-4-WHEEL-DRIVE-5DR-RED/174511724083?hash=item28a1b59633:g:du4AAOSwKwNfqjgt -
Now these are proper BBS racing alloys- these are so rare at 3k they are a bargain compared to normal RS (not saying they are cheap just compared to RS. Centre lock magnesium racing bbs alloys. These are a different league then RS. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-BBS-Motorsport-E50-Centre-Lock-Magnesium-Audi-DTM-Wheels-VGC-Very-Rare-VW/184615914773?hash=item2afbf74d15:g:s-4AAOSwMlNf-2kF

The worst is the recaro grey cloth form Mk2 they are selling for 2k with rips in for a set and some without door cards- they were a 450 option new - rado leather 1800 k new- so awful value and mugs feeding the monsters selling them. In regards to the Limited motorsport I remember on the secondhand market when a Raylle was 5k and the limited 16v G60 (71 made ) were 10k at the same time- my valuation would put the Limited in todays money at 60 k (Rallye 30K) , I reckon that one in link above that is based in Italy could be the one that was owned by Hugo Boss- could well of been a Mafia car with deep pockets. -
Im with you my favourite alloys are always 4 stud.
-
Love these as well Fla- be all over these if I had a 4 stud radp. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zender-sport-15-4x100-7j-mk1-not-bbs-azev-rays-deepdish-retro-classic-bmw-E30/284172219259?hash=item4229fbf37b:g:9IoAAOSwadlf282g

Anyone got a spare 90,000 euro knocking about ? Mk2 Limited edition for sale VW Motorsport https://www.facebook.com/groups/207630469603999/permalink/1339567476410287 -
They are all three pins and the ones showing as not available the Vemo and Bosch are 4 pin. Im not sure why so many are making 3 pin when part number from factory ending with L is 4 pin - also they have the part ending with K and J saying will fit for 3 pin but all these fans from factory are Bosch 4 pin. I have a k and J fan here and they are both 4 pin. Can anyone make sense of this or they just expect you only to use two of the settings from the factory electrics ?
