    Sill repair panels

Don't appear to be sided, which seems odd. I've ordered 1, hopefully it will be the right shape to make a couple of repair section

    Sill repair panels

Thanks for the replies. The knowledge on this forum is superb. https://www.tarostrade.com/body-parts/vw-corrado-1991-1995#menu Found this whilst browsing for parts. Not sure if it inner or outer sill, or what it is... Might be worth a punt. I am thinking that repairing these wee bits will be my first attempt at shaping panels.

    Sill repair panels

Do you know if the MK2 sill has the same profile as the raddo? Might get the profiler thing I have for tiling and go find a MK2 golf to measure the radius on sill to compare to the raddo...

    Sill repair panels

Do you have a link for them? I'm going to tackle the repair myself over the winter, then probably put it to body shop to get the paint sorted. I have a small hole at the back end of each sill. Not cleaned the area up yet, but I'm hopefull I won't need to replace more than a few inches at the very end of the sills. I should try making the panels myself, but would be a lot easier if I had a repair panel to cut out what's needed.

Does anybody know if these are still available?
  6. https://www.sgs-engineering.com/ec2000-esll-hoisting-lifting-set I got that set a couple of years ago. Decent quality, and black finish looks good
  7. Pm'd you. Interested in fuel tank straps and Bentley manual
  8. I'm a relatively new member, and new to vw's and corrado. This is a great forum, I don't post much, but I spend a lot of time reading posts, and check new posts most days. I'd happily pay a membership fee, as I do on a motorbike forum I'm on. The bike forum works great with plenty paid up members. Anybody has access to the general areas of the forum, but certain areas, like vendor deals, parts for sale, meets and ride outs, technicle guides are for members only. It would be a shame to lose all the years and years of great info on this forum!

    Painting advice

If your using 2k, you need a proper filteration mask, not just a dust mask. Your paint supplier should have them in stock. My understanding is the recommended air fed masks are for professionals, or people working with it very regularly.
  10. Hi Anna. Are the sills available yet? Do they go all the way back to the rear wheel arch? How much are they?

    Wheels Wanted

Anyone got a set of wheels for sale? Would consider any style, but erring towards BBS LM's (probably replicas) or a set of Borbet A. For a vr6, so needs to be 5 stud. Currently have a decent set of speedlines on it, with good tyres, could give in part exchange.
  12. Stainless in aluminium isn't a good idea, due to galvanic corrosion. The bolts will cause the alloy to turn to powder over time.
  13. Thanks for all the welcomes. Been having a good read through old forum threads, and gaining lots of knowledge already! Today's jobs are to clean up around the engine to try and find a small oil leak, and route the crankcase breather out the engine bay, after the vacuum leak that I found from it.

    VR6 Decat Pipe

I emailed Miltek today, and they confirmed the g60 and Vr6 high flow cats are the same. I'm thinking it should be a safe bet that same goes for decat.
  15. Hi Culshaw, Is it a straight de-cat pipe, or a high flow cat? How much you after for it, posted to HS2 (Western Isles)

    VR6 Decat Pipe

Hi Virtuos23, Did you ever source a decat pipe for the VR6? I am looking for one, but can only find them for the 4 pot corrado.
  17. Just thought I'd introduce myself. Just bought a 1995 VR6, bit rough around the edges, but a good solid shell, and huge service history. Car has had no expense spared with servicing over the years, but the bodywork needs a bit of tidying up. I'll be asking a lot of newbie questions about where to start with the car. Mainly about how to make the engine a little more responsive and get a bit more power out of it. Replaced the worn out engine mountings in it yesterday, and found a couple of air leaks around the crank case breather yesterday. Can't believe the difference that has made to how smooth the car is. Next on the list is a de-cat I think, but I am struggling to find one, so may resort to gutting the one that's fitted to the car, unless one of you guys can point me in the right direction.
