Just from having a glance, it looks like a standard M6 x 10... guess that should do it.

OK, I was trying to change my front brake hoses... BUT one of the nuts that connects the copper pipe to the rubber brake hose (top of the inside front wheel arch) has burred and its now getting to the point of drilling the bolt off and trying to replace it. Can someone else with ETKA check that N014 340 1 is the right bolt to replace it?? Any suggestions on this would be appreciated as the drivers side is done, and after I have got this bolt sorted (and I have bled the brakes) I have 312s :)

Great looking car dude! Just as well you don't live in the UK... You'd have real probs with speed bumbs!
-
awesome! :notworthy: Love the seats too! What make / where are they from??
-
looking good and great condition. Wheels = 8)
-
Looks sweet mate. Nice and clean with subtle mods 8)
-
Could be interested in some washers too Kev
-
Cheers guys GIXXERUK - No tints.. boggo standard, I guess it must be the light.

Looking that way... mine were 8)

Err... nearly, Newport Pagnell near Milton Keynes. Damn imagine the petrol for that! Bally - living in Stony. There's another VR - Burberry I think - just round the corner from me. Haven't seen the driver yet, but I don't think they're a member. Will have to see if we can get another recruit! :smurf:
-
Looking good mate! Hopefully I'll be joining you soon 8)

Hi Bally, been pretty hectic mate. Changed jobs and moved house, so its all been changing - managed to keep the C tho! Yup, slamming is on the list, just need to get the 312s on and get it back on the road! How's things with you? I'm working in Newport again, but haven't seen you about for a while now.
-
quite possibly... what condition are they in?
-
Hold that one... just found somewhere and ordered 20 of these in cap head. M12 x 40 x 1.5 in 12.9 So there will be 4 sets going if anyone wants? They should be in near the end of the week, although I want to test the fit first.
-
OK guys, anyone who has done this conversion where did you get your bolts from?? I'm having real trouble sourcing them and the closest I have found is 8.8! A contact number would be bloody helpful.
-
That looks immaculate. I love Edition One G60s - was thinking of getting one instead of the C.
-
Hmm - they'll be going then! Cheers mate - it's stuff like that Haynes doesn't mention!

Could do a cruise from one end of the country to the other, then people can come for a 'leg' that is close to them and I'm sure a few will do the whole length of the country ;-) What about Bournemouth to Dundee or something like that? Then those local to the area will know the best roads too!!

Just watching it on the Extreme Sports Channel (they joys of sky :D ) What a show, what an idea! Could do a Corrado style one next summer! ... not too sure about the 5 star hotels and casinos though :?
-
I could have some 8.8 bolts up for grabs soon too
-
I take it 8.8/12.9 relates to the steel compound - the bolts I have are 8.8, could these be unsafe? Dinks if thats the case, can I grab the other set of bolts off you?
-
Yes, they are high tensile and regular hex. I just got off the phone to Stealth who told me they do not have any in stock and its a 1-2 week wait. The part no is SVW0603-2F (2F = fronts only) for a late Golf VR6... and the price is £37.60 + £14 delivery! Total for 2 front brake lines = £51.60  Kev, if you can get them for £25 please can you put me down for a set ;-)
-
Not 100% sure mate, I haven't got to that bit yet! I think Dinkus has the Goodridge mk4 -> mk2 golf hoses, but I have no idea if they are a straight swap. Which ones did you go for? Any ideas or a part number for suitable ones would be handy...
-
Would love to go back to the speedlines, but the 312s are nearly on!
-
Managed to source the bolts and washers, although I will check the fit tonight. I got an extra set if anybody wants and should also be able to get hold of more... probably looking around £6 + P&P.
