I'm in need of a front brake flexi hose for a 16v The little metal clip which fits between Brake line hard pipe & flexi Late style centre dash vents Late Dash Blank Magnex backbox Late style hangers Drivers seat lift up handle that flicks the seat forward Metal clips that hold the Abs light & elec window switches in place thanks chris

just got hold of an alpine 9883r, with 6 disc changer & ipod cable good unit & a bargain £60 i paid for it

Swapped out the thermostat which was closed solid all seems to be running ok now iginition timing to sort next

Been flat out with work for a few weeks I drained the colant flushed the system Found the geniune thermostat that i fitted which has only done a few run ups on the drive & the 20 odd mile drive FAILED Closed permanently Stat changed as faulty at dealers today Refitted new one upto temp & a 20mile drive & all seems ok Now just to get the ignition timing set up

I'm definately in for 1 possibily a second but will confirm later if ok

Have to say i sent a few messages in parts interested in and never got any replies & always wondered if they actually recieved the message

Cheers for that david, gave the rad a good flush threw, made a little difference but still something amiss enthusiastowned, expasion tank & cap is all new & mk4 conversion

This is on my blue 16v From the start I put in a replacement engine in It had geniune VW cambelt, tensioner, Thermostat & water pump fitted New flanges,Gaskets & seals Beru Plugs New dizzy cap & arm KR Cam New oil cooler Used sensors off the old engine which to my knowledge were all a ok Quantum oil & gen filter Mk4 Expansion tank conversion G12+ Once i had the engine running on the drive Water,oil temps & levels were spot Did this a few times over the space of a few weeks & couple of trips of couple miles round the vilage again temps & levels all ok Few weeks passed & it was time for its first longer journey about 12 miles to my folks Once out onto the main dual carriageway & took my time Car was driving ok, driving around the 50-65mph But then i noticed the temps Water 100 Oil well into the 120's SO I looked into checking things over & seeing that the hoses/pipes get hot Oil is oil & water is nice & clean Water returning to tank Top & bottom Hoses get hot Heater Gets hot, again both pipes to matrix get hot All other associated hose/pipes get hot Fan kicks as it should But when the temps stay up is on almost all the time Whilist doing this found the main earth cable to gearbox loose Tighten up After a few ideas as to what to try next or something i;ve missed ???

yep jim went out his way to give me all the details & more on the 16v straight forward purchase thanks matey (bought a steering shroud form jim few months back aswell & that was spot on)

Nice one jim wont be putting it on the road straight away, so i'll just get it done anyway drove it off the trailer & up the drive & thats as far as its gone for today

Thanks Jim Got back few hours ago, cars all safe & sound & tucked up on my grans drive for the time being Gonna get the rack changed as you suggested & put in for the mot as soon as i can chris

Picked the car up from having it lowered Sits well & ride is alot better than i thought it would be Spax shocks & 60mm springs, Damping adjustable

Well after another few hours working on the car got the manifold fitted & dowpipe refitted the inlet manifold & TB & hose to air box Fitted alt belt & alternator PS Belt & tensioner set up Thermostat & housing Lower hose for rad Lower hose for water pump to water hard pipe Filled with fluids, everything primed And after a little while sparked into life no apparant leaks so spot on Also changed the abs light for a new one and works a treat, comes on and off as it should

i went & came back i like to play with the spanners so the first thing ive done to this corrado is buy & refresh another 9A and just swapped it over This i plan on just making clean & tidy overall with a few subtle bits & pieces Good to see ya back

Not done alot else due to time really But refitted airbox Installed new donut seals onto injectors that have been all cleaned out ht leads fitted rad refitted & assiociated pipes & wiring MK4 header bottle & wiring done Still got thermostat & lower hose to fit Exhaust manifold when it arrives fill with fluids then should be good to prime everything up then fire into life

i'll take the ABS Light if still avaiable
