  1. car looks MEAN. good effort. wish mine looked half as nice as that! :D
  2. mech had all the pipes out and tested the pressure the pipes and couldn't find ne leaks but pulled the hoses off and through. the return was on v tight but the feed pipe was on v v loose and easily came off in the guys hand. there was also residue of someting leaking in the engine bay beneath the pipes. piupes re attached with new clips. sound like the problem to ne one????
  3. no we had the car on the ramps running and there was not a sniff. did show my leaky zorst and bashed sump (lowrider). he had checked all the clips and hoses engine running and engine off and there was not a drop of fuel anywhere??? v confused, unless it was just a halloween curse!!! :?
  4. my car leaked a bit of fuel twice on sunday and seemed to be dripping from where the pipes go into the chassis rail. been into thye mechaninic and he can't find any leaks, anyone got ne ideas??
  5. ne one no anyone who makes one?? ne thing i made no one would want more of as melter than a welder!!
  6. yeah i'm more interested in getting one on the back as i'm sure it flexes more now its low. the squeks and ratytles might be the give away. plastic on leather mmm
  7. lowered my vr6 with coilovers and reckon that the chassi is in need of stiffening up a bit. does anyone have front and rear strutbraces on their vr6?? i can't find any for the vr. are they easy to fit (whats briefly involved in getting them on) and is it worth it?? :?
  8. having the same prob myself and sorted out my membrane. and the next day i was greeted to another water feature in the passenger footwell. i'm now reckoning on the seal of the door or the windscreen being leaky as the bonding looks a bit suss. :(
  9. just thought it would be interesting to hear stories bout all the scalps taken in the humble corrado. u no, when u show other less informed drivers of the superiority of the corrado. so far i have enlightened 3x civic type r drivers 1 x claibra 16v 1x saxo vts/r (whatever) with the biggeest tail pipes ever 1x c180 komp 1x saab 900 turbo and a bmw 330ci!
  10. yeah had the car only 5 months and have been driving it as intended!! 140 on the clock a few times. oops
  11. my rad decided to piss most of the coolant all over my engine bay yesterday!!! it seems to be coming from the gasket where the top hose meets the rad. does this mean new rad??? how much should one cost on a vr6?? also looking through all the old bills for my car it has had 3 water pumps fitted over the last 2 yrs for losing coolant? is this common or a point to other probs. it was losing coolant recently and my garage diagnosed the thermostat housing and changed and all was good. could the main dealers have diagnosed the leak wrongly and changed waterpumps?? :( :( :(
  12. how do u no if the mirrors work or not?? sounds silly but mine clear ok but dunno if this is due to driving or heating?? :?
  13. do u solder it in to the fan then?? not had a look at it yet. is it quite obvious where to solder and how it aLL fits together??
  14. ne one no how much a new fan is?? and part numbers?? is it a hard fix or can any monkey do it. it all seems to be going wrong recently. water leaks, tyres, fan. where does it end. oh yeah when you tear the arse out of a civic type r when u are 4 up!!!
  15. mine has just started doing the same. only blows on level 4 (vr6) and somnetimes squeals or buzzes. what could this be?? had bottom of dash off looking for a leak. could i have disrupted the fan?? (a wire or connector??)
  16. sweet i'll get on that tommorow if i have time!!! got a messy weekend planned in bucks. i had to spend an hour with the hairdryer under the carpet and then covered the car in binbags to try and keep it dry!!! looked well classy.
  17. do u mean the casing that is meshed that lets air into the fan??? i suspected this. is it hard to get ot?? crews or clips?
  18. could it be a leeaky seal round the windscreen and running down the side of the dash??
  19. i have had a quick look about whilst at work and can't fathom it. it seems to be running in behind the plastic cover at the side of the footwell. the cover that buts up against the speaker enclosure when the door is shut. it only seems to do it in real heavy rain tho??? :(
  20. as i don't want to wreck any thing what do i need to do to get the door cards off and get the carpets up. i am pretty new to corrados and don't want to wade in and fuck up.
  21. cheers. it did happen in the summer and then stopped after a while. i did clean ot the scuttle panel to see if thsi was the cause but i'm not exactly sure. this might be really dim of me but how do u get the door card off?? it does have components in the doors so this could be the cause also. lets hope it doesnt rain ne more. i have newspaper in the footwell to try and soak it up!! thanks matt *mod edit - deleted extra 5 copies of this post! - Henny*
  22. after the heavy rain last night woke up to a nice wet patch in the passenger footwell. it seems there is a trickle of water running in from just infront of here the door shuts. any suggestions of cause and fix?? will try and get pics on later. matt :(
  23. the blue vr6 might be mine. L reg with grey leather and low!
  24. mines only a standard vr6 but it does rev. i think the torque is the key. my mate drove a type r and said they are nasty so i take it it has no grunt and all the go is in the v tech zone high up the revs. plus they are all quite new still so the engines will be tight and not producing the full whack. however they now no whos boss. ICE WHITESOCKS what spec is ur engine?? that sounds mental. i've pulled 140 in mine and bottled it at bout 5500-6000rpm. where bouts in durham are u. my bird is from there and i was up there all summer. i got a vr same colour (not sure of the exact name).
  25. cheers guys much happier now. it does maintain a constant temp and the fans work ok never been near the110mark. much appreciated :D
