just got car back form the main stealers and they have said that the rear 'box mounts are broken. what noticeable side effects would this cause (knocking etc) if any. where and how can i check cos i don't trust them one bit!!! :twisted:

i have had a look at the rear brakes withe the wheels off and all looks in order but i dont really know what i am looking for (i don't know what the abs cages looklike) any one got a pic of what i should be looking for?? would the fact that the discs are brembo matter, i thoughtthey would be the best quality? could the garage not have bled the discs properly? would that affect the abs?? it wasn't a vw specialist just a run of the mill garage?

where is that (nearest town)?? think i'll come down.

what have you got gaz??? my rado is a bit sick at the moment. :( need new rad but i stilllove it and can't think of another car i'd rather have. even if i won the lottery i'd still find a place for my little rado in my dream garage, although it would then be the most amazing corrado vr6 in the world :Fade-color

slam panel out a good bet?? do you just fill the rad with coolant until full then attach the top hose and fill from the header?? or can the whole system be filled via the rad?? sorry but i have alot of questions about this as don't want to start the job and realise i have to take it to the stealer

i had a look and thought about just removing the slam panel as i don't know how tyo do the alarm thing as it is some fancy clifford thing(came with the car). it loos like just 4 screws????

i have brembo discs on the back (standard non-drilled etc) FROM GSF. are these not compatible with the abs rotors. its literally just happened today when i have picked the car up after having it all done. never happened before!

i think i'm gonna attempt the job by taking out the lights and the slam panel ( and maybe the bumper) how do you get the bumper off?? do u just drain the system then take off the bottom hose fit new one (with a lot of grazed knuckles and swearing), attach bottom hose, fill rad, attach top hose and fill header, reattach bumper and slam panel?

my abs light is on when driving. see abs light won't go off thread in drive train.

same as the golf vr6 rad?? is it the same price? or cheaper if u put golf infront?/

just read on another past thread something about rusty abs rotor?? is this correct?? my rear brakes were pretty corroded. what does it look like so i can have a loo. can it be cleaned up?? expensive??

just had my rear discs pads and bearings done and the fluid changed. when i start the car all is normal(light on then off and the pulse under your foot from the brake pedal) then in normal driving the abs light comes on and wont go away. aaagggghhhh!!!! having looked at the fluid in the resevoir, it is way above the max. could this be the problem. also, the rear off side carrier was seized and replaced? don't really know where to start. car brakes fine and all feels good but the bloomin light is on all the time and the corrado paranoia is making me think its gonna be expensive. (my rad has just split and one fog smashed by a pheasant with mot looming!!!!)

how did you get the rad out mate?? i think me and amate are gonna have a go. any pointers. cheers. see my thread does this look like an 18 month old rad to see how mullered mine is and looks same as ecp part
