I have koni top adjustables on my car and eibach springs - like you say, they dont lower it too much - probably about 25 - 30mm, but it is an excellent ride!!!! I was looking into lowering it with some different springs - but after giving it some thought ive decided to stick with the set up i have as its very good and i would hate to compromise it by slamming it on the deck. With this set up it still sits lower than standard but i dont have the hassle with speed bumps and pot holes etc etc If you drop it any more on koni adjustables you apparently run the risk of ruining the konis - and the ride would be very harsh. so i suppose really its down to whether you want a car that looks good on the deck or one that handles well and gives a nice ride!!! 8)

Whats that then mate? is it an octane booster or summat?
-
ive got koni top adjustables on it - only 8 months old - i aint spending a fortune on coilovers when the set up is pukka as it is!! anyway coilovers werent on my list matey :D

3 slat one for me mate. The other one aint bad, but alters the look of the front end a bit too much, and not for the better IMO 8)

Right, i finish paying my insurance premium next month and wil have cash to spare for mods to my G60. What order would you do the mods in? bearing in mind that they are probably going to be done on a one a month basis!! heres the initial mods i want in no particular order; induction kit momo steering wheel and boss magnex exhaust 40mm lowered serviced and ported charger sns chip & fpr and whatever else i can afford on the day ported head and a new cam I just dont know where to start

Nice one fellas - i do feel slightly more enlightened about this now - and have a better understanding of whats available and who to talk to!! 8) muchos gracias!!

I just took out a policy with Flux - £655 for 92G60 - standard except konis momo and exhaust, living in the burbs with clean license aged 29 - and that was TPFT!! How old are you endor71? Have they just stiffed me?? Grrrrrrrrr  hate it when insurance gets one over me!!! loads of my mates seem to pay less than me with more exotic cars!!

cheers for replies guys. mines ever so slightly lower than standard my last c was lowered 40mm and my latest one isnt as low - so maybe i would get away with a little drop then 8) i'll give koni a call tho just to be sure - dont fancy screwing up an otherwise sound set of konis

nice one - i'll check em out 8)

just wondering, after initial mods like ported charger, chip pulley exhaust etc etc, G60 performance is still around 200-220bhp : what other mods are there available to get a G60 pushing 250 - 300bhp? I know you can put a cam in, and ported head - but what else can you do to get up around these sort of performance figures? (not including NOS) - bit of foward planning on my part!! - i spend my money months before ive even earnt it lol
-
I dont think they are. Not too sure how to tell? It doesnt sit higher than standard, but still too high for me lol!

Keep the corrado mate!! I was in exactly the same position as you last year - i wanted more performance!! after spending a small fortune getting my C right, i sold it to some lucky bugger!! I then went and bought a Cosworth - it had serious performance - but i only kept it for about 3 months - sold it and bought the corrado i have now!! The C might not be as quick as some, but it aint just about balls out speed, the C offers so much more as a drivers car than just performance. The S3 is a crackin car no doubt ( i would defo have one) but its also about 10k more than my C. If i was you i would keep the quality motor that you have now, until such a time as you can afford the 13k S3 quality car. bBut i speak from personal experience when i say that you will regret selling your C for another car of the same value! chances are it wont be as good!! hope you make the right choice dude! 8)

I bought my latest G60 about 3 months ago, it came with Koni top adjustables and eibach springs. Whilst im very pleased with how the car handles, i'm still not entirely happy with the ride height and would like it lowered a bit. However, when i visited a reputable tuning accessories company, one of the sales team there told me that i couldnt lower it with koni top adjustables on it because it would break them (something about 'the pin' in the konis being pushed too far in) - and that unless i bought coilovers i couldnt do anything about it. Now i took the advice of a salesman once before many moons ago, only to find out later that he was talking out of his a**e. My car runs 16" wheels with 215/40/16 tyres - im not after a seriously slammed car, just one that sits nicely on the rims. so my question is, can i lower my car while running koni adjustables or am i going to have to ditch it all in favour of a new setup? mchos gracias

Its a G60. I spoke to Trimsport yesterday who dont produce any at the moment. General feeling is that there is very little space under the bonnet for it to fit!! The rear golf 2 fits the corrado no probs, its just getting one for the front that is proving a pain in the arse!

I cannot find one anywhere!! any tips on where to find one greatly appreciated :D Dave

I changed mine a couple of weeks ago(or i should say, i had mine changed). you dont have to take the power steering pump off to do this. you dont even have to touch it. my cousins an AA patrolman, he changed it roadside in about 20mins. just jacked the front up and got to it from underneath. couple of bolts holding it on, but thats all. he made it look very simple - and he said that there is no nead to do any of the aforementioned stuff regarding moving belts and pumps. just my 2ps worth 8)

gutted for ya mate  wish i could help, but unfortunately i know pretty much bugger all past changing the oil, spark plugs & brake pads!! did u change the rotor arm as well when u done the dizzy? my old C suffered a similar problem to yours, but it seemed to cure itself! spooky! but the garage that looked at it said they thought it was a vacumn problem - maybe something similar on yours - just a thought hope u get it sorted matey :D
