Nail varnish remover (not that I use it) or white spirit on a rag, :D it will evaporate off the glass.

Seems to be a problem with the G60, cause mine the same reads empty but takes round about £30 to fill it from red. Do about 10 miles and the gauge reads about 3 gallon used, so thinking the gauges on these early cars are crap. Should do 300 miles at least with steady driving. Could do with finding out wether people with old 16v have the same problem. Or someone running theres till dry to see how far they get, not a good idea though.

Got 205 50 15's on mine fills the arches better, don't have any problem with them at all. But it's on original suspension set up.

Damn right, more like a sucksessor, way to Passat looking. Much prefer the new two seater VW are planning to rival MR2 and MGF etc.

Had similar problem with a Golf but it was the fuel pump relay that was overheating and eventually melting the fuse box. After many replacement fuses problem was traced to the fuse box itself, apparantly the circuits inside can go. Replaced fuse box and never suffered any problems there after.

Anyone else suffer from a faulty fuel gauge? Mine was reading 1/4 full so filled it up and it only took on six gallon (which is half the tank on a G60) and the gauge reads full, but only have to do 30 mile or so and it reads 3/4 full. Is this a common problem or is there someting I can do to fix it? :?

Super Unleaded or Optimax, as you want 97 Ron or more, Optimax is usually higher rating average 98-99 Ron. (Normal unleaded is 95 Ron) Don't use four star.

G60Jet is there any chance you could take a pic to show how he has done this?? As he had to fabricate any parts or has a standard gaiter been used and stuffed into the console? Would very much appreciate any help. :)

Yep the MK3 Golf has 150 bhp, and Corrado 139 bhp, just like the old 1.8 16V. Heard it was the same engine just detuned for the Corrado, for some strange reason.

The Jet come with it as standard, or you added it on??? As that was the sort of thing I was looking at doing, as future plans are a leather retrim now its back from the body shop. Basically wondering how it fits onto the console.Must be different to the plastic one as that seems to be joined under the handbrake itself. The one I have is broken and pops off as someone bust it when altering the handbrake, before I got it.

Anyone replaced the plastic handbrake gaiter on there car or seen any corrado's with it done. As I fancy something a bit more trick than the standard plastic one. :?

Sure is the only real thing i look at on the MFA, used to do it on my Golf too. Be intrested if there is a way to reset it as the default reading. 8)

Recently brought my G60 and have been wondering why there dosn't seem to be much of a bitting point. Only need to lift the clutch a fraction for gear changes, so not great for smooth shifts. :( Is it on the way out? or just been to used to the heavy clutch on my old MK1 Cab?

Try Brentacre Insurance, they cover modded cars too. Its run by Club GTI Members, so get good deals on performace VW's. Prices dont alter on mods unless you go over 200bhp mark, so exhaust, filter etc won't alter insurance. Should find them advertised in PVW mag.

so even without a smaller pulley, i'm going to get a benefit from my car?? as the only other performance upgrade is a supersprint exhaust system. (sorry for being a bit dumb on this but last car was a sportline cab so the supercharger area is new to me)

jabba havn't had the car just the charger. as far as i know i havnt had a smaller pulley.

Hi i've just joined the supercharged world with my corrado, i have had a stage 4 by jabba and was wondering what the advantage of chipping was. I hant had a smaller puller etc so would i recive any benifit :(
