  1. I just bought an Auto Acoustics Stealth Shelf for £85 delivered (untrimmed with no hoes): http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/sitesearch ... -F+to+96-N)+Stealth-Shelf&JServSessionIduk=4rqonftp51.OCE1uk&orw It looks completely factory once trimmed up. I've got DEi mid bass drivers mounted in it and it sounds great.
  2. Where can you get RH wheels from, they suit the car so well?
  3. My sunroof rattles! Is this a common problem on Corrado's. It's driving me insane as I have a sub installed. Any ideas?
  4. I have to say I've used the search function on this site and it tends to throw lots of irrelevant stuff up containing none of the keywords I've specified. I'll give it a shot though
  5. What's all this "carbon canister" business?
  6. I thought as much as the oil temp usually sits at about 112 degrees so heatsoak from that is gonna kill any benefit gained by the increased flow a cone filter would give. So there's a kind of noise damping box is there that you can remove and replace with cool air ducting?
  7. Is it worth getting a cone type open induction kit for my G60 or leave the standard cold air fed airbox. The charger is Stage 4'd so blowing a bit more than standard. Would it just suck in hot air or are they effective? I know the foam ones are poor so I would be looking at a Green or K&N. Cheers

    Jabbasport

Fair enough. Firslty I dont work for Jabba, I dont even work in the motor industry! My job is much duller than that! :) Secondly I've only had my car a week and as such I am looking at all of these companies with a fresh pair of eyes. I do understand cars and know how they work but I have no preconceptions about any of these VW specialists. However, from what I have seen here it seems that although JabbaSport have been around the longest they have become complacent about their service and standards of work. Hence, standards have slipped. As I said in my previous post, G-Werks are much nearer to me and the amount of positive words I've heard will mean that I'll go to them if I need any work done. G-Man:I will try to get you some details but it was somebody who the previous owner of the car knows so he might think it a little cheeky!

    Jabbasport

I bought my car off a VW mechanic and he swears by Jabbasport. When I mentioned G-Werks (much more convenient to me as I live in Kent) he said that they were appaling. One of his mates took in a charger for a Stage4 upgrade and as a point of reference put dots of TippEx on parts of the internals that should be ported. When he got the charger back, all the TippEx was still there and the original bearings were still present? Who should we believe?
  13. Thanks guys, it's lowered 35mm on Koni adjustables. I've had a very lowered car before and it messes up the ride and handling. The wheels are Team Dynamics :D
  14. Can somebody please host my pics for me? cheers
  15. Just looked at the Pitstop website, so many nice shiny things made by Mocal!

    Guages

Thanks all. I phoned up a nice chap at http://www.gbdriver.co.uk and ordered some. They stock loads and I ended up with black faced Splitfire ones. He said they were reliable and they're a good looking guage, not too Max Power!

    Milltec backfire

First of all, lets give Saxo drivers a rest. Before my G60 I had a VTR and it's agreat car and a nicely set up VTS on a track would see off most Corrado's because it weight as much a cigarette packet! Anyway, does the Miltek system drone on the motorway or is fairly quiet if you're just cruising? I had a Magnex on my Saxo and it was perfect, not too loud but a nice growl if you gave it beans.

    Guages

I have two guages mounted in a pod just in front of the gear stick, volt and boost. Whilst they look trick and are actually useful, they are a bit "Fast & Furious" in that they light up in 7 different colours and light the whole car up at night. They also dont remember your selected colour and come on red as their "default" setting. Hence I want some grown up guages, simple black, backlit jobs. I'll probably get some Tim ones or have a look on the web. When I get the new guages, can I literally plug them into the holes and connect the old wires up to the new guages or will I have to wire them all up again. The voltmeter is no problems as I could wire it up to a circuit in the dash. However, with the boost guage would I have to route a new sender through the bulhead etc or can I solder the sender wire from the old guage to the wire coming out the back of the new guage? Cheers
  19. Nice stealth idea of keeping it all under the boot floor, keep 'em coming!
  20. I'm looking for some inspiration. I've got a load of ICE that needs fitting and I need some ideas, especially to retain the spare wheel but get round the problem of the massive lump it creates! Cheers :)
  21. Rich, you're telling me! I did about 40 miles (some of which were small journeys from cold) and it used half a tank!
