Bad luck there, your car looked ace on Sunday :( -
I wouldn't let a £50 chip anywhere near my baby!
-
Sounds good. I should have sobered up by then ;) What time? I'll have to be nice to the gf for a while!
-
Oilman, Did you hear of this forum from me as I emailed you about a month ago saying you should do a club discount thing? (I was Egg_Man on the SSC) Sorry for the hijack :offtopic1:
-
Nope, I struggled earlier on with adding attachments and thought I needed to put it on two posts but realised the pics were too big. I'll put one up of the car as well.
-
I got a digi camera for Christmas so here are some pics of the car following John at JMR having a tinker with it:

It's not right to bang on and slate garages with no primary experience. There are two sides to every story.
-
Maybe you should be less cavalier with your right foot! ;)
-
I'd vouch for Halfords stuff too. I don't know about commercial use but none of the socket ends have chewed up and the rackets work without fault.

You have to have the engine out (labour £££) when you replace the clutch on a Pulsar, buyers beware!
-
Stick to OEM rear bushes at the back as they dictate to a large extent the feel of the car.

I think the Yoko AVS's are supposed to be a lot better than the A539's

One of the prettiest cars on the road, Pininfarina styled too! :)

Done :)

Get some decent oil from these chaps, there's nothing they don't know about hydrocarbons: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/ I bet he would have something to say regarding oil additives.
-
That would be ace if you could. It loves this weather at the moment but come summer and I'll need all the cool air I can get with my puny standard intercooler!
-
I'll leave it all alone then, cheers guys! :)

Does this mean I don't have one of those carbon canisters then? Should I try to get some air directed into the hole?
-
I went to fit my K&N panel filter the other day on my G60 and noticed something. Where the air comes into the box and the front of it there is no kind of ducting or pipe attached to the hole. Effectively, the air box is sucking air from a small place behind the healdlamp. Is there not supposed to be some kind of ducting that takes clean cool air from the front of the car and directs it straight into the air box. I wondered if the previous owner had done something to it?

Good amp choice too, The Phoenix Ti stuff is ace!

Chipping a normal motor will make no difference...
Neil VR6 replied to G100extreme's topic in Engine Bay
I would imagine that fuel injection can meter fuel more effectively which is so vital for forced induced cars. Only if the fuel pressure and injectors are correct for the given state of tune though. Having injectors running at 90% duty cycle is too much for instance as there is less control seeing at the injector is "open" for 90% of the time. Set up correctly, surely fuel injection will always win and prove more reliable? -
I've got my old bushes actually, I would take a pic of them but I don't have a digi camera yet (let's see what Santa brings eh! :)) Anyway, look at the bush from the outside laying down on the floor with an inspection lamp and you'll see cracked and perished hard rubber.

Definately have the rear bushes looked at. Although they are a pain to change (the reason that they may have previously been "overlooked" by prior owners) they play an enormous part in how the car feels at speed. I had mine changed on my 112,000 mile car and it feels completely different. The back used to be all over the place and was a bit white knuckle-style on the motorway. Steady as a rock now. 8)
