Hi, sorry I should have specified, its just two. Is that any good or do you need 4?
-
Yes, all done, I guess this can be closed. ;-)

Used but definately good condition, no missing pages, rips or anything like that. The odd (I mean odd, very slightly grubby page) [i'm being very critical, but honest here]. I covered it in clear fablon years ago and its kept it very well preserved. £45 delivered uk mainland.

Genuine VW parts good used order. £12 delivered UK Mainland
-
Part number 357412341A. Used but perfectly re-usable. Will clean up fine, no rust to worry about, removed when I fitted KONIs, so I think they are for a late VR6, as the KONIs require early ones (I think) Please check part numbers for suitablility if in doubt. £15 delivered UK Mainland

Used but in good nick, this is the black plastic part that surrounds the headlight, this is for the drivers (UK) side. All tabs are present, there is a very small hole in the top, its well back and would be hidden by the front panel anyway. It looks like the end of a screw (or similar) has just nudged it whilst fitted, nothing to worry about. £12 delivered UK mainland.

Replacement window rollers, unused, bought in the recent group buy. I can't remember what they cost me so asking £5 delivered UK mainland.
-
They are for late fogs, pm incoming ;-)

Brand new in bag, genuine VW, part number 161949117. Two of, £8 delivered UK Mainland

New in Box, part no. 1H0201511A. £10 delivered
-
New in Box, bought these in a group buy on here some years back. They are just the glasses and can be used to replace broken glass in original foglamps. Basically you remove the old glass and sealant and mastic these in with waterproof sealant, they are a perfect fit for the Corrado. They are made by Rally Manufacturing Inc, model 3183. Orginal Foglamps can only be replaced with the whole indicator housing etc, they were £70 each years back, so at least that now if they are even available. £25 delivered UK mainland

The police had already stopped the driver for not wearing a seatbelt, the video shows what happened when they caught him again after he drove off. They knew exactly who he was, how old he was. How much force was appropriate, whether he had a gun or whether he was a drug dealer or not. That is the whole point of this story....................................... This is why 'most' people are outraged by it............................ They knew exactly what they were dealing with and abused a 71 year old man. My dad is the same age, if I ever saw anyone manhandle him like that, especially a police offer. I would make them wish they'd never been born.
-
He should have stopped, granted. However that absolute maniac, hacking at the window and the spineless pussy on the bonnet /roof need to take a reality check. If the guy had just committed an armed robbery, hit and run, vehicle theft, car-jacking etc I would be 100 percent behind the police for making sure things were brought to a close quickly, regardless of the feelings of the driver, regardless of the damage caused. This was clearly not the case. Idiots.

Glad Lisas old car kept you entertained for a while Pete, what are you moving on to?
-
Absolute five star w4nkers, nothing else to it. Smashing the windows like that, one climbing on the roof, how could that ever be justified for a 70 year old man not wearing a seatbelt. What little respect I had is fading fast.
-
+2 I used to go out with one, stories like that were commonplace. Traffic cops are held in a god-like status within the force, especially by young WPCs........ The reality is that they are a worse driving statistic than drink-drivers. A friend of mine did work experience with the police and spent a week in the back of a traffic car. He can tell some stories, not many of them feature 'fantastic drivers'.
-
Double *****ed in my experience....fingers crossed though!
-
Its high mileage and has ropey bodywork. The price is at best about right. Its amazing how much Corrado you can get for your money lately.
-
I'd consider a modified throttle body too, the only mod on my VR6 I didn't regret at any point....ever! Really improved throttle response, felt quicker than every (relatively standard) VR I've ever driven regardless of mods.
-
Why will it cost you more than your windscreen excess of £50 or £100 to get your screen done? Body-damage wise I'd go along the route of claiming on insurance and asking them (the family) to pay your excess, you can't say further than that. Failing that I'd make their lives very miserable. No excuse for it, its not the kids fault, entirely the parent's.

Moving on, 7 years of Corrado ownership coming to an end....
andy replied to andy's topic in General Car Chat
She sold today, 7 happy years together of blood sweat and tears! Fantastic car but time to let someone else have some fun with her. Sold to some very keen chaps from Cardiff. Now there are only 46 Corrado VR6s for sale on here.......... I'll still pop in regularly, this forum has been much more than just another car forum. Most of the owners I've met have been some of the most genuine people around. There' s always a new interesting project to follow on here and who knows I may come back one day. ;-) -
Mine are bare, been like that for 5 years with no problems. I mounted the relays such that any water would run away from them rather than into them. I always expected to need to box them up but they only glitched once....they wouldn't come on at -12degrees C! A good tap of the relay cured that. Obviously better if you can box them but not essential. Mine has been through all sorts of weather and flooding, 15k miles a year.

Its a good deal, just bought some rear brakes for the g/fs Golf, bargain.
-
Totally agree, I went back to standard and I love it, The CDA was great for a while, got bored of the sound eventually. The stock set up is very good, I love the stealth grunt.

£1600, she's got a few bits and bobs worth a bit extra I think. She'll be up for sale any day now.
