  1. 5 stud BBS RS's aren't easy to come across, in VW fitment anyway, I've been looking for ages with no luck :(
  2. Boschmann are the Kwik Save of audio equipment, I'd go with the Alpines, they're certainly not rubbish.

    Tornado red

I've owned 3 Tornado Red VW's, love that colour.
  4. Exactly, and how many Nova boys do it properly? I know the Nova shell can handle it (with suitable bracing), there were rallying Nova GTEs after all, but your average chav knows nothing of bracing the turrets and structural integrity. They're more interested in blowing things away than reliability. the ones that know what their doing still have 1.4sr written on the back and std as poss looking exterior The ones that know what they're doing don't buy old Vauxhalls.
  5. Christ, they sell plutonium too.....
  6. I'll sell you some magic beans for £20?
  7. They arrived today, top notch, genuine stuff, bargain price, he's got another 2 sets available now too, considering getting another set for the back.
  8. I'd rather eat wasps than use Green Stuff pads again.
  9. http://www.cruisesouthwest.com/modules. ... ht=corrado Probably a re-post, but iv'e not seen it before. Serious engine work done too...
  10. He said: I'm still a bit unsure.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW Are these the real deal? They seem very very cheap, and the rest of the stuff the guy's selling is absolute cheap tat. Do they look real or are they just cheap speakers with Focal grilles?
  12. In which case, you shouldn't have asked the bloody question then:
  13. If I see anyone in a VW, I'll have a look, and if they're looking back at my car, I'll give them a thumbs up, usually gets returned.
  14. I used them sticky pads from Halfords to put my German plate on my front bumper. Then PC Plod said they weren't legal and I had to take them off. It was near on impossible to get it off, ended up bending the plate so much I can't get it straight again. No chance of it falling off, and any thieves would have an easier time stealing valve caps or chrome rear badges. can't see why someone would want to steal a number plate they couldn't use or sell anyway, and if they're that determined to have it, then it would be best to make it easy for them so they don't damage your bodywork.
  15. I was advised not to go for higher than DOT4 brake fluid as it eats away at the caliper seals or something like that.
  16. Is that because you already sold your bargepole for £500 to fund your "latest project"? Jeez lighten up, it was a joke.
  17. I've had plenty of valve caps stolen off me before, once the weeks of grief and mourning had passed I thought "meh, I'll just get another set off eBay for a tenner." The emotional scar is still there though.

    MOT Advice

It looks like Kent Brockman is right, accoring to the Q&A section on http://www.motester.co.uk:
  21. My mechanic friend reckons that my car won't fail its MOT with only one working front fog light as cars don't need to have front fog lights. I thought that if your car had something, then it had to work. Who's right?

    VR Plug Leads

Try http://www.wires4cars.com I got a set of red plug leads for my VR (they use OEM ends) delivered within 3 days for about £75 all in, they even threw in a bag of American cookies. They sell the metal plug lead tool as well IIRC. It was someone on here who recommended them and I can't praise them highly enough.
  23. I like Mulberry Highline's so much I bought one, not feeling the front bumper though, and the mirrors are a touch on the horrid side, but nothing that can't be fixed.
  24. I hate Marmite but I love my purple leather. I'd go for the Highline, otherwise you'll end up buying Highline bits to try and spec it up.
  25. Even if you never adjust the damping after fitting, the Konigsports still have the advantage of you being able to set the damping to the level that suits you instead of the Highsports which you can't alter from the factory.
