    Toad alarm

When it locks, you can just press the unlock button on the keyfob to open it again while the engine is running. Pressing the button once after starting your engine is better than paying someone to fiddle with the software.
  2. It'll be your timing chains, unlucky.
  3. I can't fault mine at all.
  4. Anyone know if it works with iPod Shuffles too?

    Respray costs

There's a place called Paint Teknik or something similar in West Tullos that's meant to be good and cheap. They've quoted Jimmer £45 to remove a dent and respray his rear quarter on his Lhasa Green Mk1 GX.
  6. http://www.topgear.co.uk are good too.
  7. That picture you have right there is pretty much how a Corrado should look from the rear bodywork-wise.
  8. LMAO!! I presume thats your MK3 sporting a 90's nova/saxo style twin headlight conv?!? Was that a presumption or a question mr punctuation? Those twin headlights, Hella projector ones and proper VAG part, were on the car when I bought it and are no longer on the car, they've been replaced by Hella Mk4 style ones that look a lot cleaner and far more classy, like a Volkswagen should be. But if you want to fit the sort of light tube you get from those pikey shops that seem to pop up in every town centre around Christmas time to some cheap headlights, be my guest, you can play pretend Bim Bimmers with the Ripspeed Krew, innit.

    Timing Chain ???

Sounds like it needs some WD40, but ooh aah just a little bit....
  10. Angel eyes = Lexus lights, the next generation. Leave it to the Saxo boys lads.
  11. The flagship Bridgestone ones (can't remember model number off the top of my head) are meant to be the dog's dangly bits.

    front end noise

I've got the same problem at the moment I think, sounds kinda like a light sabre getting swung, my VW mechanic mate reckons the brake pads aren't going all the way back.
  13. The guy that did my Toad alarm runs his own business, he's got a Laserline on his own car and recommended them over the Toad, but me being a brand snob went for the Toad.
  14. I also nominate the Toad Ai606, just had one of these put in my car on Monday after I had to get a horrendously complex Clifford system ripped out and binned because it started to have a mind of its own (the alarm going off while driving, and going off non stop through the night even though I hadn't even armed it in the first place). And I also had the same problem as kevhaywire with some idiot Clifford dealer making an arse of fitting it. Everything's rosy now though.
  15. Aye, the red Beru ones are by far the best leads you can buy for a VR. Pricey tho...

  17. Don't Powerflow use a lower grade of stainless steel than most "off the shelf" manufacturers?
  18. Aye, I was reading that earlier, unfortunately, it seems the only way I could get it to work would mean losing my CD changer as I've only got a cassette head unit, so I'm just going to get one of those things that plugs into the iPod and inserts into the tape deck for now. If the sound quality is crap, then I'll upgrade when I get a bit of money laid aside.
  19. Excuse my newbie-ism but can you make any mp3 player run through your head unit? I've just bought an iPod that I'd love to be able to listen to through my Alpine head unit.
  20. Aye, that road's bad for speed cameras, although it's completely clear between Dundee and Perth if you want to let rip.
  21. Still, if anyone else manages to use the case to get off a speeding charge then it can only be a good thing.
  22. Flushed tailgates, especially on Mk2 Golfs, never seen one that looks good.
