Have just become a proud owner of 94' Blackberry VR6 :) - Now got to choose a set of rims - either Asev A's or Keskin KT1 ( or Klassik). I would prefer to go to 17's - i dont think 16's look good enough (bbs rz's 16's fitted). What are your thoughts on my choice with regard to car colour, size of wheel and what would these rims cost me?

Just had a RAC inspection on a proposed purchase of a 94' VR6- the tester told me he found a flat spot on acceleration but reckoned a good tune up with VW will probably cure this. The unit has only done approx. 12k - as it was a brand new engine from VW in 2003. How much would this tune - up set me back with VW. Could need new HT's or plugs etc. Could IT be a fault with the engine?

Sorry , my mistake ( never owned a Corrado) the above message should have read "inlet manifold" NOT "exhaust manifold" - anyway the one I've seen is black plastic coated on the VR6 , not the usual silver metal variety?

Thanks mate - in other words its the best engine out of the lot(corrado). Any visable differences between engines?

Can anyone tell me if theres any visable difference between the various VR6 engines that are available - can the ABV & SLC be recogised by just looking at them? What VR6 is installed into the Passat? Any other models with this engine? How many valves has the 2.8 Golf (+USA) engine? Thanks for your help!

Hi there! Has anyone else seen a black coated VR6 exhaust manifold before? All Vr6's I've seen have the usual silver metal manifold on them! Was this a later(or early) VW mod or is probably an owners personal mod? If its not VW , its looks very professional and is probably for insulation purposes.

Hi ,new to this forum & would appreciate some advice. Been to view a very nice Corrado with a view to purchase. The car is in cracking condition(inside & out) but for some reason the battery tray is corroded quite badley just behind the passengers side headlight. There's no evidence of rot anywhere else on first viewing and possibly could have been caused by a leaky battery?(The battery looks quite new - not original fitted).How serious would you consider this to be in respect to buying the car(cheap to fix?) as the owner wants a quite healthy price for it (plenty of money spent & a very good history on the car). What do U think?..........

Hello There! First time on the forum but been a C. fan for years even though i still have not owned one - soon to change! Anyway anyone know where i can see/read the famous Corrado Top Gear test - was it on TV or in mag. or both. Ive heared the review was very positive(how could it be any different?)Thanks....:roll:
