    hope it all goes well at least you havent got to have it painted, that held me up for 6 months and now i have to find another painter as the first guy forked it right up! then the coilies are seized grrrr!!!!!!

    yeah it was a load of bits it started life as a vr. the guy that sold me the bits is a mechanioc for the 225bhp caddy diesel that runs in the series and also the bora.

    my car does exactly this i have changed the wishbone bushes, strut top mounts, all shocks, ball joints, rear beam bushes and tyres so next is the tie rod ends, but reading the steering rack thread i might need to torque my wishbones up properly so this ill do and report back. my car has done this for the whole time i have had it!

    the connectors just push through the hole in the door.

    if shes not a 'driver' and just wants a reliable individual car then go for it these cars arent about the handling etc they are fashion statements and thats cool! my mrs has an mgf and you know what i enjoy driving it from time to time!

    youll need the original switches but if you dont have them reversing polarity will get them in the right position.

    on a valver you could just go for g60 brakes as they are 280mm as opposed to your 256 mm, but yeah sam is right they have gone up since most of us got ours!

    mine only have one collar itsd ally and the bodies are steel them avo chaps are really not very bright!!

    any tips i have just got some loctite freeze spray is it best to direct this at the shock body so it shrinks away from the collar?

    yeah they are early ones i had the same before i went late spec the ones bally has i had were rear handles from a passat supercharged has my old ones now,, for late spec i think mk3's are the same? correct me if im wrong and i prob am im just going on what they look like.

    anywhere that does engine work will do that in a jiffy! look in YP for an engine builder in berks mate.
