1. i had a set of dovercourt original plates somewhere that came off my polo.. i don't remember ever chucking them, however i've not seen them in years.. hmm.. will have a think.
2. I've got a set of H&R 25mm & 40mm.. Perfect for Rado fitment of most wheels.. They come out at £307.99 delivered from http://www.europerformance.co.uk and were fitted whilst the car was sat in the garage so haven't done any miles! Offers?
3. I know exactly what you mean.. most garages these days wont fix anything, just replace parts. I've been very lucky that one of my best mates trained with an excellent 'real' mechanic and has done most of the work on my cars. He's buying the garage he did his apprenticeship with later this year and i'll be in with him doing the books and learning basic skills. Really looking forward to it.
4. I put an item up for sale last night and its still not gone live - is it just waiting for mod approval? Cheers Baz
5. At title, looking for a set of caliper as mine have seized. A set in good condition painted red would be ideal, if not then standard would do.. cheers then.
6. agreed with all the above, I would be VERY cautious buying this car and would be taking at least a couple of Rado experts with me to view it! .. However i'd love to go and see it. Khaki green is AMAZING!
7. its been stated by sky that there wont be adverts during races at all.. cant see it happening but time will tell.. I thought Audi weren't interested and were focusing on Le Man instead?
8. How can you not mention Brundles pit walks! best bit of the warm up IMO..
9. more chops than sainsburys.. welcome to the forum?
10. A DAYS WORK!?? Can i come up when you do it? Would love to have the know how to do it myself..
11. yup dont worry about chains, although check for recent cambelt.. to be honest with a 16v there's not that much specific to worry about.. grey corrados are hard enough to come by on their own, let alone with cream leather. be on the look out for one with cloth and buy a separate interior.. there's one on here at the moment. good luck with the search!
12. it all depends on what you can find.. get something too special and you wont want to use it. get something not special enough and you wont be bothered about it. i was running an 8v for a while and it was a great car as a daily, fuel was great and it was nippy enough - i was really surprised by it. i think the running costs of a VR would do my head in though and with a family i'd be wondering why i'm not running a well sorted A6 tdi. do you get you fuel paid for?
13. Blue VR6 [likely storm] on A34 northbound around Oxford on Sunday 24th @ 1.30ish..
14. i love a black baroness me.. nice project.
15. All parts would be wanted if the price was right.. Spoonfed are producing some amazing items, but there's no way i'm paying £500 in total for a carbon spoiler & plate holder and urethane splitter.
16. okay bud, all sounds pretty promising.. if you get to a point that you'd have to buy replacement wheels id rather bring a set i have here and knock that off the cost of buying replacements if that works for you. time wise monday 1st Aug would be perfect for me and give you a bit more time for swapping if possible. As long as the car is complete things like moonroof etc is not an issue at all. Cheers Baz
17. i really hope so, but its not looking promising at the moment :(
18. Hi bud, The intention is to find an average condition body to use for track days.. The more parts it has that can be removed and sold the more that can be done with it! And extras like the coilovers & exhaust make this an interesting prospect. Obviously there's a few bits that you've got up for sale above, can you let me know exactly what i could expect the car to come with at £350. Is the car fully drivable? Cheers Baz
19. You want a 205/40 as the 45 profile is too big.
20. Charger or 4wd.. Wouldn't actually do it though, I'd buy a decent a4 daily..
21. I'd stick with 205/40s for better fitment, won't look too stretched..
22. Odd.. Can't think that the head flange was replaced, but check through the receipts.. Do you still have the matrix flange to match it up to? I can't see it being the cause of the issue, but guess it can't of helped. Should be able to get you the tracking ref for the engine tomorrow, but being delivery day it'll prob be with you before I get it! Speak soon Baz
23. if you cant afford the real ones then fit rx's instead.
24. If you're happy with your wheels then go for 280mm G60s.. they're plenty enough for up to 200bhp. you could go for the s2 twin pots if you find a set, but you really don't need to.
25. oi you f**king northern monkey.. he's closer to you then he is to me alright..
