  1. how big a job it is to replace the cam to cam timing chain on the 2.0 head? The problem sounds like the chain has stretched / gone slack, but i don't know if this could also be down to worn gears on the cams? I also don't really know what i'm talking about which make the job twice as hard! Cheers Baz
  2. Teledials and all adaptors now sold! Interior and Futuras must go!!
  3. Bump! Deal pending on teledials.. everything else still available!
  4. ive got a tyvek medium cover - halfords used to sell them, theyre excellent!
  5. dammit.. i was wondering how long to leave it before posting a happy christmas message and now ive been beaten to it. seasons greetings everyone.
  6. well the moonroof is still in the car so thats not available!
  7. The cars long gone, however I didn't get either of these with it so they might still be available. Cheers Baz
  8. Yokos should stretch ok, cheaper tyres tend to be chunkier as you've found.. Pirellis are good too..
  9. Amazing.. So it sounds like I literally just need a gasket set and cam belt and im good to go?
  10. beastie4126‎ Doesn't really qualify as a 'seller' as he gave the items away! Top bloke, unbelievable amount of FREE items, which will go to good use towards my car and helping teach bodywork and prep to others. Thank you very very much.
  11. I recently bought an early 16v, which has had a later 2.0 engine fitted at some point in its life. The engine is now making some funny noises, which i believe is down to the cam to cam chain/pulley being worn. I have just collected a 1.8 16v head and was thinking about refitting it, keeping the 2.0 bottom end. In order to do so I need to find out/confirm the following: [apologies if i show my stupidity!] Are the cam pulleys the same? If not which would i use? If they're different which cam belt would i use? Are the headgaskets the same? If not which would i use? I only currently have the manifold/throttle body from the 2.0 - Would I be better sourcing KR items? Is it good practice to change the waterpump at the same time or not relevant? The important factor is to have the car running for as little outlay as possible, however if sourcing the KR manifold etc would mean a significantly better engine i'd do it.. Cheers Baz
  12. I've got a massive amount of articles that I need to get round to scanning but never seem to have the time to do.. I'd be happy to post them to a mod or long standing member to do if they were interested as long as I knew I was going to get them back! Perhaps something could be arranged to fit in with the RR day?
  13. Bumpage! Added my OZ Futuras and sold a set of adaptors!
  14. I fitted a set of 996 rears [same as ibiza cupra 305mm's] which went fine under d90's.. Theres bags of room under em.
  15. Cool runnings.. I'll get up to the garage ASAP and pm you re payment once they're off.. Cheers Baz
  16. Tell me more about the wheels!
  17. I have no idea on age.. They came with the teledials! They stopped making them at the end of 2007, so will be 4 years plus. They have been garages stored when not in track use.
  18. Yes they come with the bolts and then you use your bolts into the adaptors..
  19. nope. it's the height.. you're adding 45/46mm to the wheel diameter.. so even though the 205's would fit width wise you end up with a 5cm difference in wheel height if you used the tyres you have! Sell the 4 tyres the wheels come with and a pair of your 195/45's and buy some 205/45's.
  20. they're sized to fit mk4 platform so will be too big on the corrado.. they'd be pretty easy to sell on as part worns though. you'd really want something like 195/45's on the front and 205/45's or 215/45's on the rear.. hopefully the wheels are cheap?
  21. i think the price is already pretty reasonable.. £135 posted?
  22. Standard VR fitment: 6.5" et43 D90's are: 6" et52 7" et 55 8" et52 With 25mm adapters: 6" et27 - 10mm further out 7" et 30 - 19mm further out 8" et27 - 35mm further out Although I'd prefer 7&8's as I don't really like the idea of thinner than standard wheels, 6&8's will give quite a good look with this combo.. Slightly further out than standard at the front, but without ruining turning circle and a decent rear width.. Ideal 'tuck & poke'..
  23. Had already posted them up for sale.. 4 x 25mm FK 5x100 - 5x130 Adaptors. New from Venom £175.34 plus P&P £150 DELIVERED
