  1. woah! terrible news, but again, at least you have great workmates! I'd be getting the beers in tonight if i were you!
  2. I should have a set of 25mm available before the end of the week..
  3. did these come with a king lead? i have a set that doesnt have one either..
  4. beauty! seats look great.. perfect addition. those side covers look pretty faded, dont know if its just a polish, but i bought replacements from vw for reasonable money.
  5. all depends what they were like before, however on that pick alone - i'm in!
  6. could be persuaded to part with them anyway.. would need to find a standard set first though!
  7. not sure yet.. i'll need to get on the phone to a couple of mates and see who's up for helping. potentially im around this weekend, just need to see if i can drum up interest! Can i confirm you're in hemel hempstead as per one of your old posts? cheers Baz
  8. cheers! it defo looks a lot better in the pics, it's been keyed and has some decent rust patches. It's really at that halfway stage between not being worth spending more money on and being too good to break! we'll see what happens.. not even i know how this thread'll turn out!
  9. great! although i'd love to take the shell getting it home and storage would be my issues.. I'd plan on coming up one morning, vulturing as much as possible and getting it in the back of a van. I'd be more than happy to do the removing of parts.. the only bits i wouldnt really have use for are: All glass including windscreen Rear seat with hump from the list you've given, but again, would take everything if it made it easier for you. Cheers Baz.
  10. 16v KR Head appears to be gasflowed KR short Block 100k + miles Fronts wings - scabby but usable All glass including windscreen doors inc glass and electric window motors boot including spoiler 6 x sebrings in varying states of condition (no caps) bonnet - ok if your up for a respray front panels 40mm inlet & injectors Rear seat with hump front bumper rear bumper Front subframe Hello bud, Im pretty up for coming and collecting the lot if thats not too greedy? Some of it would be used for the new daily and body panels/engine could be used at work for training.. Let me know if this suis and we could try and work things out. If there are particular bits anyone else wants then of course that would be okay. Would really like some of it as a definate though - especially wheels! Cheers Baz
  11. So some of you may remember the breaking thread for this car.. .A.N.T. put the car up for sale after 10 years of ownership and wasn't having much luck selling it. He contacted webuyanycar.com for a value and was due to have them collect it. I saw the post after thinking about buying a cheap Corrado to use for track days and it looked promising, as it already has a 2.0 engine conversion, FK coilovers & a full stainless exhaust. Most importantly it fitted the criteria of being cheap! The price was dropped lower due to not wanting the Lenzo wheels the car was on and I couldn't see a Corrado going to WBAC! We spoke further about the car and a deal was done without viewing. I was a complete pain in the ass [sorry Ant!] regarding collection as we couldn't find a mutually convenient date, especially as I was relying on a lift to bring a set of wheels up with me. I finally went and collected it and everything looked good.. We got the wheels swapped over and I was on my way. The journey home provided a couple of surprises, the exhaust was very rattly and with the rain pouring down, the drivers wiper stopped working! Luckily both easy fixes, the nuts holding the wipers weren't done up properly and the exhaust rubbers have been replaced. The front splitter was also hanging off so this has been refitted. I've been out today giving the exterior a good clean and she's come up pretty good. It's not gonna win any prizes, but looks much better having had some TLC. The difficult bit now is working out whether to go with the original track day plan or just to enjoy the car for what it is.. I think that decision will come at MOT time in December! So here she is.. Baz
  12. Hi Jim, Can you stick my name on the running list.. At the moment i'm planning on bringing the daily, but if the good un is ready i'll bring it up. Cheers Baz
  13. Technically yes, as the car is now MOT'd there is no reason not to tax it. Although you'd be pretty unlucky to find a copper who'd do you for it! The worst I'd expect to receive is a producer to show you taxed it afterwards.
  14. my cock's just died.. can I bury it in you? can I tickle your belly button? from the inside?
  15. I think you mean CAN'T!!! You can drive to an MOT station without tax. You can drive home or to a place of repair without tax if it fails the MOT. If it passes the MOT you legally have to tax the car before taking it home.
  16. realistically £800-£1200 is probably about right, someone doing the work is going to want to get it for a good price if they have to change the engine. What's the mileage? all depends on what other advantages there are on the silver one. yours would prob be worth 2k too once done so if you prefer the silver one cut your losses and spend the difference on that.
  17. saw a blackberry on the m4 westbound around lunchtime. my mate also saw an 'old boy' getting out of a blackberry or dark burgundy this morning in bristol!
  18. The only weekends I have free in November were reserved for GP! See how the date goes and I might bring something up!
  19. i think for most people they will be surprised by how little their cars have cost them, especially when outweighed against depreciation of newer cars. i also think that when you factor in the cars also being my hobby as well as transport, where i've travelled, who i've met etc it's provided amazing value for money. anyway.. better get to bed, going to buy another one in the morning!
  20. breaking thread.. apparently slightly rusty but could be worth getting photos?
  21. If it's getting damp without it raining it could be the heater matrix going?
  22. Get on the dye then bud.. Got gliptone stuff for my roof trim and it seems pretty good.. A LOT of work though. Prob easier if you went black, but you could get away with beige if you wanted.
