  1. nightmare.. will take a look at the list and see if i can help.. rear bulbs will have been removed so brake lights etc dont show at night, not to keep!
  2. I remember the days when this was going price! No door cards though!
  3. They'll look horrid, personally on a 7.5 i'd go 195/40 but thats me. personally on a 9 i'd go 195/40 but thats me.
  4. 205/40.. 215's could rub and wont look as pretty..
  5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370371919902&ssPageName=STRK:MEBDIX:IT I just bought some smoked side repeaters from passion_automotive. The fit is terrible, they're made by 'Autobar' I contacted passion to let them know and they refunded me straight away. Fantastic Service, just a shame about the product.
  6. Yeah there is that.. I'll make sure he buys a minter..
  7. Nearly.. 17x9's.. still need to get the arch work done for them to fit, but need to solve overheating problem to get down to G-werks.. Should be back on the road by Ultimate Dubs.. maybe sooner now my mates got the bug!
  8. The most ridiculous job I have done was replacing the charger bracket after fitting a new water pump. The bracket has to sit in exactly the right place for 2 bolts at the bottom to go through. what should be 'push bracket in place, insert two bolts' took an hour and a half! No method, just pot luck. The best job was replacing the ignition switch. Thought it was going to be a complete nightmare, took less than 20 minutes. The two I'm still stuck with are engine overheating and battery draining. Who knows how long they'll take to solve..
  9. I've just got off the phone to my best mate who's a mechanic and has done most of the work on my Rado's. He's always given me grief about the amount of work they need and built up a general dislike for them, always saying I should buy something newer/faster or more reliable. I've just bought an 8v daily which needed a new front wishbone. He fitted that and the next day there was still a knocking noise from the front. I left it with him to diagnose and he's said it needs a driveshaft. He then went on to say he's been driving the car over the past few days and completely fallen in love with it! He's amazed how smooth it is, how well it drives and said he went out to it this morning and he thought it looked amazing! I still can;t quite believe we really just had that conversation. He's cancelled his plan to buy a mk4 tdi in the new year and will be on the look out for a Rado instead. His Mrs loves it as well so he's even got the green light from her.. thats if I ever get my 8v back..
  10. VW sold millions of them. Why the hatred ? Just personal opinion. they're ugly, heavy and slow.. I'd much rather a Polo 1.4 16v or a B5 Passat..
  11. I hate pretty much everything about the mk3 so my vote would be with a 2nd rado.. I've just bought an 8v daily, only driven it about 10 miles so far, but I'm already impressed with it. The engine is quiet but smooth and seems to have more power than I remember from my old 1.8 16v. VR is potentially asking for trouble so if you dont want to spend loads on it an 8v is the way forward.
  12. im not sure i understand? Dont you already have the BMW?
  13. :cowboy: :cowboy: :cowboy: Yup.. we all have em.. Im still finding stuff now on mine and I've had it five years!
  14. Cheers for the comments guys, it is indeed hard not to start looking at spending money on it.. I've already got tinted side repeaters, have bid on some Porsche wheels and am in the middle of making some all red rears for it :nono: thats on top of the bits that actually need doing  Ah well.. I'm gonna be seen in it daily, its gotta look good 8)
  15. Imagine my wife's excitement last week when I told her I've bought another Corrado! With my G60 having spent 2 years parked up in the garage, and the daily G60 being sold a few months back as it was a silly idea to try and run a second Rado as a daily driver she was delighted to hear not only have I bought another one, but it needs loads of work doing! The car was advertised on here, by FullThrottle with the following info: As it was local it had to be worth a look, so I went up to see it having pretty much decided that although I didn't have enough money to see me till payday it had to be worth buying. :cuckoo: As well as the above, im also planning: Late front & rear bumpers Full set of side bumpstrips. Cover at boot end of roof strips - Pass side. Rubber running along outside bottom edge of passenger window. Black parcel shelf as this one has been cut for 6x9's All in all it's not a bad car at all. I'm sure with a bit of TLC it will scrub up as a decent daily.. I just have to be careful not to get too sidetracked and start spending money I don't have that would be better put to use on the G60. Work is already underway on the wishbone: Cheers for looking, Baz.
  16. ive actually been thinking exactly the same.. am about to get some front cards trimmed, so was going to do them flush and relocate the window switches. dont know how much hassle it'd be to do though chasing back wiring etc? if you do go for it post some pics up!!
  17. Short and to the point  , a total nightmare/ boardline impossible then ? not happening due to ET..
  18. Looks like I'm the only one hoping Alonzo will do Webber in the drivers! Webber's had a tough season no doubt, but the work Ferrari & Alonzo have put into getting back in with a chance lets me favour what should still be seen as an outside chance even this late in the standings. As much as I fully respect everything Redbull have done and hope they win the constructors I'm just not a fan of Webber. Jenson has had it really tough, he made some excellent choices towards the start of the season, but Hamilton has proved it was the Brawn car that won the season for him last year. I'd still like to see something happen with Hamilton or even Vettel, but short of a crash or engine blowout I think they have no chance.
  19. Yup, black carpets look great against the grey leather.. good work. :salute:
  20. I've had grey cloth, black leather, grey recaros & cream leather.. I'd actually prefer grey leather to the black i had, the interior was so dark nothing stood out. A set of grey leather recaros for me would be right up there now with cream on the right colour car. I would def want black carpet though.. I've got a set of late grey leather doorcards which are proving difficult to sell on their own, but i cant see why a full interior would be a turn off.
