Check that you haven't put the pipes on upside down on the throttle body, easily done. Buggered fuel press. regulator? Rubber hose ok? Have a look at those first. Kongo127..that rings a bell, did I sell you something years back??
-
The headlamp connectors, 4 wire standard ones?
-
Matt, I found just one mate, problem I that the number doesn't match your version. My part's number is: 535 959 263. Made by AEG.
-
Yep. def. 11mm spanner size, as sean said.
-
Spanner size? Afairc 10mm but it's been years since i bled a g60 caliper. If you can till tomorrow morning I'll check a few spare calipers.
-

G60 crank measurements/ conrod bearings & nuts?
VEEDUBBED replied to bristolbaron's topic in Engine Bay
Your quite right baz, no sense in spending loads of wonga on a clapped out g60 mill mate. Sooo your gonna buy my forged 9A valver bottom end and then turn it into a nice g60-16v car.. And yes VEEDUBBED does have all the bits.. -
Dan, send me your email mate. I'll get you a couple of photos tomorrow morning.
-
What type of seat do you have mate, the version with a fixed rear bench or split 60/40 type? I have the split version, black leather with center hump.

G60 crank measurements/ conrod bearings & nuts?
VEEDUBBED replied to bristolbaron's topic in Engine Bay
You can reuse the Nuts no problem. As far as the crank Goes, just measure the big ends with a micrometer or get an engineering firm to do it. Don't try oversize bearings on a standard crank as the engine will lock up. Obvious maybe but you never know.. Can I ask why the bearings have to be changed? Is the crank damaged or are the journals scored? Did the engine show any signs of the classic 'Big end knock'? Whilst your in the engine I'd check the small end bearings too.. I'd tell the mechanic to use Plastigauge on the crank regardless, that way he'd be 100% sure on the bearings required. Standard practice anyway when rebuilding. -
Right, 18 spleen/teeth on the top uj that connects to the steering coloumn shaft and 38 on the lower uj that has the finer cut teeth that connect onto the steering rack. Send me your email and i'll snap a few photos, if it's suitable for your g60's rack. Cheers.

I'll count them Tomorrow morning rob, came off a late vr6 'raddo.
-
Rob, i've Got a spare steering uj. No play in it. Let me Know if you need it mate.
-
I wish you also the best of luck Jim.
-
Matt, You forgot to send me your address! whilst your there, give me a phone number too. Your payment you sent has arrived. Cheers.
-
Unfortunatly the disc stone sheild small bolts are missing on both the hubs.. The ABS allen head bolts are there though. Personally Rob, i don't think it'll be worth sending down just the two abs bolts. I've got a few more hubs in another garage that i'll check later, maybe they still have the small 8mm bolts attached.
-
I dam well forgot all about your switchs.. You'll have to excuse me mate, I'm getting bloody old.. Yeah, full set waiting. First thing tomorrow morning I'll get you a few photos. Cheers-Andrew.
-
I've probably got a few, I'll check tomorrow morning and get back to you.
-
Might have, I've got two spare vr6 hubs down in the garage. If they are still attached, they are yours mate. I'll get back to you tomorrow.
-
Ok Andy. Are you on Passionford? Basically you will need just the g60 flywheel and normal clutch then?
-
If the injectors are indeed buggered, let me know mate.
-
I've got a few mate, give me till tommorow and i'll get you a couple of photos. Could you send me your email? Cheers-Andrew.
