  1. Cheers, so it would be ok then? If that's the case I wonder mine is 358?
  2. Someone on e-bay is selling the above with the part number 536 819 045. Just looked on mine and it's stamped with two numbers on the bottom: 358 819 045 358 820 045 It's for sale as a Corrado part, just wondered if anyone knows what the correct number is and whether it would be the same part (maybe just for the Passat), before i bid on it! Any help much appreciated, Thanks Anthony
  3. Cheers, wasn't sure if you needed 195 or 205!
  4. Haven't seen any for ages :( Last one i saw was a v shiney black (16v?) in Luton airport long-stay car park about 3 weeks ago. Anyone else apart from AndyVR6 and G60Dub in the East Kent area?
  5. Thinking about it Mike, Admiral weren't that much more expensive than Adrian Flux, but to get the premium down from them you have to limit your mileage. How can these insurers be so much cheaper than the competition? Most quotes you get are laughable.
  6. Am guessing the Isle of Man's not exactly crime-ridden 8)
  7. £630 with Adrian Flux, unlimited mileage - only mod is an induction kit. Am 26 with 3 (or maybe 4!) years no-claim.
  8. Was joking really , probably are still my first choice! What tyre sizes are you & JoeNose running on btw? Ps, is it me Jim, or have you aged ever so slightly recently? Could have sworn you were 20-odd not too long ago...
  9. Those comp2's really do suit the Corrado - just what i was considering getting. Damn, might have to change my mind now, don't want to be seen copying people too much!
  10. I'd be interested to know the answer to this one as well, cos one of my rear's is buckled according to the garage.
  11. Just a thought, it may be a simple as this: If these are the late, rotary type controls, the knobs may be on the incorrect controls. The fan speed dial has a knotch cut in it, so if you put the heat or direction knob (which don't have knotches) back on the fan speed control, they can push the metal contacts too far apart so when you turn the control there's no contact and the switch doesn't engage!
  12. Mine goes up at 55mph. Is it meant to be different for a VR then?
  13. Borbet T's are my choice out of those 4.
  14. You sure you haven't got some kind of commission deal going on with Speedline!!

  16. Cheers Jim, it was seeing them on your car that made me look into to Comp2's - esp as my C's green as well! Have seen them priced at around the £600-mark so what you paid sounds a good deal. I've been put in touch with a mate of a mate who says he can get some for me at trade through his job, so i'm waiting on a price from him at the mo.
  17. Thanks. So 16 x 7 Speedline Comp 2 with ET35 would be ok??
  18. Could someone please tell me what the specs of the factory fit Speedline VR6 wheel are? I know it's 15", but what's the width and offset? Thanks, AK
  19. Important stuff: New steering rack New clutch Wash off bird crap Less important stuff: New set of alloys Replace drivers seat runners Butcher Passat heater controls Tinted tail lights Reiger illuminated gear change Reiger front grill Momo steering wheel Adjust alarm cabin pressure sensor so it don't go off every time a cat jumps on the roof in the middle of the night, p*issing off the neighbours and making me think someone's trying to pinch the car!! Think that's it - ouch
  20. There's a pdf fitting guide on the Reiger website if that's any help. Suggests using the ciggie light feed as well
