  1. however it being an auto also makes it harder to sell on as there will be a limited market for them  ...............i'd say £4k tops i'm afraid
  2. not forgetting his Nice gay violet colour scheme :D :D :D
  3. hmmmmmmmmm not that i'm biased in anyway but it think i'd rather have a 75k mile green storm than a 99k mystic blue one tbh  :D
  4. i take it that you aint told any white lies to your insurance  .............if you haven't then how the hell did you manage to get it insured without being financially raped :?:
  5. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 6&lighter= have a read and make your own mind up......but tbh like jim has said at 21 you'll be lucky to insure it without getting financially raped
  6. i'd be wary of buying from a -1 rated eBay-er
  7. you only lose yer NCB if its been 2years and over since you had a policy in your name btw
  8. in a Golf it is.........1.8 16v C's are only rated as 136bhp
  9. that C is already being discussed on the forum.............it appears the pix are a bit fooked and make the colour look wrong..............seems like it'll go cheap....but then again most 1.8 16v's struggle to get near £2k early dash(up to mid 92) has mk2-style heater controls, smaller instruments along with E/W switches in door card later dash mid 92> has classier looking rotary heater controls bigger instruments and E/W switches in door pods
  10. don't discount the 1.8 16v tho................i would say it has less to go wrong with it so shouldn't cause you too much grief.......but it does prefer super U/L rather than U/L ....and ALL 1.8 16v's have the older style dashboard and interior whereas only very early 2.0 16v's have the older interior
  11. the 1.8 16v is aka as the k-jet............the 2.0 16v just replaced it in 1992 J>and for the UK was fitted with a cat as standard the 1.8 k-jet didn't have a cat for the uk market both had 136bhp but the 2.0 16v had a little more torque and could be re-chipped the k-jet can't.............and as for specs early 1.8 16v's were available with or without E/W's and E/S/R's.........but all had the rear seat hump and alloys.....whereas IIRC all 2.0 16v's had E/W's and alloys but sunroof's and the rear seat hump were options
  12. also might be an idea to see if you could hook up with one of the more Corrado-wise ppl near to you........there is a section in here with details of Corrado-pre-viewing..........at least ppl can give you some pointers as to whats good or bad
  13. ?? it's a 12v as opposed to a 24v...............although oettinger were famous for the (4valve per cylinder head )of the mk1 GTI..........IIRC they didn't make the 12v VR6 lump into a 24v lump........VW did that on the v6-4motion...........the conversion you have is from memory a capacity increase with some minor headwork and cams...not a million miles away from the conversion that Scotts also offered on the VR in the early 90's.......with the Nothelle  ..........at the end of the day tho........its still a rare and sought after conversion
  14. i'll give you £5001 for it   ..........seriously tho................even with it being an auto you should easily see more than £5k for it..one thing tho..........i'm pretty sure it's still only a 12v 3.2
  15. just got me renewal in for me schrick'd up and lowered storm........£349 from Admiral :D :D :D :D :D
  16. doubtful if he'd see 250bhp from just those mods.............afterall the R32 only makes 247bhp from an enlarged capacity
  17. i'll go for the fuel pump  ............what odds you giving me then mate?
  18. sounds to me more likely to be all the other weaknesses in the cooling system coming to light with having the new parts fitted.....bear in mind its more than likely the rest of the cooling system is probably going to be over 10years old
  19. well so far me 924S that i bought last year has only cost me new shocks(all round) and a washer pump...........it had a PAS leak but that was fixed for under £20.....tho i think its alternator is maybe gonna need new brushes
  20. well chuffed with me Storm.....its only gone in for its 4th MOT in my ownership and passed with flying colours again.........well impressive i must say for a 10yo performance car.......
  21. i wouldn't have been ashamed if you did go the merc "cosworth" route tho............sublime motor and rarer than the C
  22. It's highly dangerous. i can assure you (as i said before i HAVE experience of loading/transporting skips due to my in-law's having probably one of the biggest privately run waste management aka skip hire companies in N.Scotland) providing he's only going locally then the strap should be able to keep the skip in place(although provided he's got the strap on properly-but bear in mind the skip empty will weigh pretty much just under a ton and the strap is likely to be able to cope with over that)..........it would only be highly dangerous if he was going a massive distance or onto the M-way or likely to go thru a height restriction(but most ppl would take a route avoiding a height restriction if they're "doubled-up")...........
  23. its not as dangerous as you may think..............provided he's not heading off down a M-way or any massive distance...........the strap should be sufficient enough to hold the skip in place............the reason behind him not putting the full skip into the empty skip is due to the full skip then being a bu66er to remove from the empty one due to sides expanding cos of the contents...............ive seen this and done this on many occasions when ive been picking up and delivering skips for my in-laws......some have been quite hairy and ive never been pulled by the law once with them
  24. blimey..............just under a year later and ive only added 4k to that  :D
  25. nope but word to the wise DON'T do it...........too max power for the C
