  1. good question Roy........for the life of me i can't remember    .......50/50 as a stab in the dark......as mine was a pre-TOR-SEN diff version........
  2. the one Yallan posted was the "normal" ur-quattro turbo...........the shorter one(not the dialynx one btw) is the quattro sport(don't get confused with the 80 sport btw) which was their Gruppe B rallye car..........which was in very very limited numbers and had a 308bhp(iirc) version of the 20v engine a good 4+ years before ur-quattro 20v production
  3. best car ive owned to date(inc me Storm  ).............totally sublime........with an exhaust note that you just love to hear burbling away on idle...........let alone on full chat......where its probably the best noise this side of a yank V8 8) 8) 8)
  4. standard tyre size on the VR rims is 205/50/VR15.....55's would be too chunky looking.....and if you go down to 195's you can run the risk of you're insurance voiding any claim you have if you are in an accident
  5. bet its tuned by a ferrari mechanic again
  6. they didn't make them that late.............just some weren't registered til August 1996(P-plate) as all Corrado production stopped in July 1995
  7. yup git!!!!!
  8. As peeps have said, it's not REALLY modding it fitting aircon, I don't think there'd be anything that couldn't be returned to original if I did it, and if there was I probably wouldn't do it. It's the same with the steering wheel and gearknob, as these are items that are getting lots of wear and I would prefer them to be in top condition than worn out by being used too much. I've got a huge stereo install in the boot as well, but again that's all removable. As for "dropping in value". Doubt it, and as I don't intend selling, I don't really care. well if i was lucky enough to have a campaign.............i would keep it looking near factory but i'd still have my schrick fitted as long as the A/C install is done professionally and means no visible hacking about the dash etc then i would say that it wouldn't be a bad thing to do and would more than likely keep it looking near factory too
  9. i would say Fat Tony's one looks better as it looks more like its fresh from the factory and is more original than that one.........and its almost £1500 cheaper with 60k less miles!
  10. thats what sold me my Koni's...........heard their warranty is second to none
  11. She's an 8v mate - 129k on the clock...... any advice? oppps, forgot ........... Vehicle details Manufacturer Volkswagen Model GOLF GTI Body type 3 door hatchback Colour Grey Fuel type Petrol Date manufactured 31 December 1990 Number of previous owners 6 Last owner change 27 April 2002 btw ignore this bit in bold.........its a quirk of the RAC site......for some reason the bulk of older cars they have listed seem to be date of manufacture 31/12/XXXX

before even thinking of upgrading the bulbs............best to get a headlight loom upgrade from either Gavin on here as H100VW or DIY it
  16. IIRC you pull the rotary dials off and there should be screws visible then on
  17. btw standard tyre size for the 1.8 16v is 185/50's if that helps any.......doubt it tho as thats quite a rare tyre size at any rate
  18. have you checked for length/kinks and/or holes on the ECU 1m vacuum pipe?????
  19. for less than half of the projected £69 mentioned here too
  20. would i also be right in assuming these might not work if the bonnet earth strap is goosed :?:
  21. i just used the number-plate sticky pads for mine...........still on over 2 years later
  22. so is it in a V or Y reg mk1 then?
  23. don't think it does.............different part no's between G60 and VR6 ones......not much help to ya but i know the Golf VR6 rack is interchangeable with the VR6 Corrado's one
  24. might make a difference with our VR6's being ABV 2.9's and having 190bhp as standard tho versus the N.American markets AAA 2.8's 176bhp........
