do a search.....its been done to death :D
  3. hehehehehe......good to see another mk3 Golf owner converted to the dark side(aka Corrado ownership)..............lumley dis-owned you yet?
  4. ahhhh you wouldn't be mike robbie by any chance?
  5. although yer alcantara and leather does look quite tasty...............the recaros alway have the better look IMHO
  6. my milltek has been near faultless apart from when i got the coil-overs fitted.......when it would knock(but thats hardly susprising)............however IMHO the magnex looks to be the better fit and better style/finish(well the ones ive seen on C's) on topic...........a month or so back classic cars had a feature/twin test with the 968CS and the E-30 M3 evo 2..............damn nice reading........i reckon the M3 is gonna be the one to have due to the fact they were very succesful touring cars
  7. more than just bigger arches............they also had a steeper rake rear screen too.........so to make a true E-30 M3 replica from a commoner garden E-30 involves more than tacking on big arches
  8. 968 will be the better bet in the classic car stakes due to A)relatively short life--------3 years IIRC B)relatively small numbers sold C)only 3 uk trims but all the same engine......968CS/968 sport and 968 coupe/cabrio D)cos its a Porsche
  9. ah-ha tho..........i seem to remember someone mentioning that it is wrongly called a blue as its more purple than blue hence why its called mystic blue :D :D :D :D
  10. could be the start of a head gasket.....as it'll be water/coolant burning as opposed to oil which would be a blue haze white = water/coolant blue = oil black = fuel/carbon
  11. ahhhh but in sunlight mystic blue is more purple than blue
  12. wel i'm now officially a VW p/t employee..............my weekend job at a certain car hire company (that was a franchise but is now owned by VW)......makes me a happy chappy :D
  13. lol :D ..........924 begat the 944  .........so the 924 especially in S form IS a proper porsche  ...........and before you throw in the old chestnut of....."but the 924 has a van engine"...........you'll find it was in the Porsche with more horses a bit before the van actually had it.....so there
  14. almost a year to the day since that dash was aqquired too eh grim
  15. reckon it'll be the same as mine..........a conlog logic 500.............some companies will accept it but it is afterall a near 10yo system so must be pretty close to obsolete by now
  16. 924's were as follows 924/924lux 125bhp 2.0 8v normally aspirated.....76-85 924 turbo S1 170bhp 2.0 8v turbo......................78-81 924 turbo S2 177bhp 2.0 8v turbo......................81-82 924S 150bhp 2.5 8v normally aspirated..............85-87 924S 160bhp 2.5 8v normally aspirated..............87-88 944's were 944lux 163bhp 2.5 8v normally aspirated............82-88 944Turbo 220bhp 2.5 8v turbo...........................85-88 944Turbo 250bhp 2.5 8v turbo...........................88-93 944S 190bhp 2.5 16v normally aspirated............86-89 944lux 165bhp 2.7 8v normally aspirated...........88-89 944S2 210bhp 3.0 16v normally aspirated..........89-93 all official cabrios will be either S2 or very rare 250bhp turbo
  17. 924 turbo's were made from 78-82 and come in two flavours......170bhp series1's and 177bhp series2's..............140mph+ and 0-60 in the seven-second bracket...........however........they are mega dear to fix(purchase cost-expenditure ratio) as the head is actually made by Porsche instead of Audi like the n/a 924's........but they are damn cool IMHO if you want the ultimate 924 then best get £10k+ and go for the 924 carrera GT which is a wide-arched 210bhp limited edition(75 rhd) 924 turbo more or less.....
  18. believe me tornado red does suit the Corrado especially one that is as tidy as Fat Tony's
  19. most good VR6's go for a lot more than £4k.........although you can sometimes get lucky and get a good high-miler for that sort of money......anyway if the car is mint then £2-£3k sounds pretty close
  20. normally they only rust around the rear arches if they been poorly repaired after an accident or they haven't beeen rolled for having big rims and/or lower suspension
  21. 75 350 Sl is a Mercedes V8.....not a daimler as in a V8 250
  22. merc gets my vote 8) ......looks more stylish than the seat IMHO
