    Sounds like cheap materials to me or a single pack air dry lacquer. Get all the old paint stripped off before you re-do it or it may react.

    I had one on my old Mk2 GTI 16v. Was very quiet but sounded nice with it.

    Go for a supersprint if you want OEM refinement. Not cheap but very good. Got any more pics of your Corrado? Looks nice!

    Yes, 750 + VAT = 881 inc if done as a seperate job from the head gasket. Same as me then. I will get it > £300 cheaper WHEN I get it done at the same time however due to them saving so much labour. The quote for both together inc VAT is 1400 from Stealth currently. Is the head work just a gasket change or a full rebuild?

    Dont think there is anywhere close to Brum. My mate took his to Stealth and they removed it then sent it for rebuild. Whereabouts are you in Brum? I am only in Solihull myself. Ben

    Im a sprayer by trade and £700 is too cheap for a complete repaint. The paint and materials would be around half of that alone. We work on around £150 per panel provided that big repairs arent needed. You get what you pay for with bodywork. Ill be interested to see the finished product.

    Your MK2 is stunning. Just how a MK2 should look. Ive got a Golf Rallye at present and as soon as its back from Stealth being fixed (i hit a kerb oops) i will be selling and looking out for a nice Corrado VR6. Ben

    Ive seen loads that have come from internet sales sites straight onto his and most the markups have been £2k plus. Theyve all sold pretty quick too. People seem to be willing to pay it for nice examples.
