The front end of the corrado is one of the best parts of the car, it's agressive and mean looking and this is created by the squareness of the lights, bumper etc if you know what i mean?! Once you start adding curves eg. mk4 headlights, i think it just takes away the agressive sporty look!

About 131,000 miles but these babies are built to last! Bring on the miles!

I'm 19 and bought my G60 when i was 19 too! -
I'm currently getting my my engine rebuilt due to a blown head gasket and i want to put in a new uprated oil cooler at the same time, as before the head gasket went the oil temperature was a bit high (110 - 118) and i don't want this happening again! Any ideas where i can buy a better oil cooler and how much it'll cost? I have a '91 G60. Cheers

No they didn't check for exhaust gases however they did a compression test but that seemed to be pretty normal! I know the guy who owns the garage so i don't think they would mess me about. The engine's done 130k anyway so i don't think a rebuild would do any harm! Cheers for all the advice!

It's a 1991 G60. Also i forgot to mention there's lots of bubbles in the expansion tank too, like there's a backpressure somewhere in the system and lots of air is getting out.

Hi, just in the last few days the water light has been flashing and there's loads of water boiling off out of the expansion tank once the engine heats up. I keep topping the water up but it boils away at a very fast rate, maybe 2 - 3 litres per day. I took it to the garage and they were pretty certain it's the head gasket. However there's no mayo oil or oil in the water, i'm just wondering if it could be anything else? Probably related is there's no hot air coming out the heaters since this started happening, it's all stone cold air being blown out! Cheers in advance!

I thought i needed a new alternator a wee while ago and Euro Car Parts said they have never stocked a G60 alternator, but if they did it would have cost me about £300! Something's not right there! Turned out it wasn't the alternator anyway! £80 sounds very reasonable, good buy!

Yeh it's the same wherever i go, takes ages to fill up and at supermarkets there must be a timer as the pump cuts out after i've put in only about £15! Cheers anyway!

Not a really major problem or anything but when i fill up with petrol it's like there's a blockage in the pipe going into the tank as i can only fill up really slowly, if i try to fill up fast it all spurts out! This gets quite annoying when it takes about 10 mins to fill the tank (91 G60) in the freezing cold! Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it's just me?

That's really gutting to hear, and the bad thing is it could happen to anyone at anytime! You're driving along happilly next thing you know there's another vehicle shunted you and your car's written off! Or a scarier thing, a driver coming towards you could have a heart attack or something, lose control of their car and collide with you straight on, perhaps a closing speed of 120 - 140 mph - not worth thinking about! Hope you get it all sorted out without too much trouble!

Just after i bought my corrado a couple of the mangers at my work came out one day to see it and they were asking if the spoiler worked and just looked at the car in total admiration. It's times like this when you are reminded or realise how amazing it is owning a corrado!

Sorry if if this reply is a bit late but i was just wondering if the full beam lights can be uprated by adding a wire into the uprated dipped beam wiring loom? Or do i need a whole new set of wires, relay etc?

I would be interested in buying one of the cheaper sets of coilovers, is this a group discount price or standard price?

Hello, firstly i'll introduce myself, my name is james and i bought a blue g60 in november and i'm loving every minute of owning a corrado! It's such an amazing car! I've just joined the forum so go easy on me  ! This isn't really a major problem just annoying more than anything else! The pulley wheel on the alternator makes a squeaking noise as it's going round, just wondered what i can do to fix it? Just oil it or buy a new pulley? Cheers for the help!

i've just had similar problems on my g60, auto electrician tested the battery and alternator and everything seemed fine but it still wouldn't start sometimes. He then put in a new wire between the alternator and battery and everything seems fine now, must've been a worn wire!
