  1. Registered and confirmed. Never been, is it a wife friendly weekend? By that I mean will there be enough to keep her entertained over two days? Anyone heading down from Scotland? Fraser
  2. Ideal thank you. iDisk do a search but never bothered reading that one as I though it was just about the fans and thermostats. That'll teach me. Fraser
  3. For a 95 Storm. I've drained the system whilst fitting a new radiator. I presume it's the G12+ stuff I should be buying? How many litres should I buy? Any tips for refilling? Regards Fraser
  4. Got it working. Just above the front engine mount there was a few cables with connections. As soon as I touched the middle one it fired right up and has been fine since. Cheers Fraser
  5. I'm hoping somebody puts pics up of how to fit these, I'm at a loss! My current wiring seems to loop around the back of the engine and incorporates the indicators and fogs in it.
  6. The search for Redborbet returns zero results.
  7. Ahh brilliant, thank you easypops. It's a different heater that I've got. There doesn't look like there's enough space in mine up there. Fla, I decided to undo all the bitumen type stuff. Then took a chance on the AC pipes and disconnected them. As there's no AC in the car I thought it safe enough. In the end it was the right thing to do, the pipes passed through the bulkhead and had been cut in the engine side. So I removed them completely which allowed my shelf to slot straight in-delighted.
  8. Thank you Bill. I've now just got my head around it I think. So the red/white will be from the yellow temp sensor the red/black and the red/green will be from the other sensors? And the brown is the ground? Fraser
  9. Ok I will do. It'll be Friday before I get a chance to push it out again. I will check everything over, hopefully it's something easy. Fraser
  10. I'm in the process of changing the rad and fans on the car. But todo so I have reversed the car out of my garage about 10yards. Currently the radiator is removed and coolant drained. The fan is also removed. To do this I removed the battery. But after replacing the battery I wanted to start it quickly to put it back in the garage but the car won't start.bmy question is, with the rad and fan removed would this prevent the engine from starting or is it more likely to be the immobiliser? The engine turns but doesn't fire up. Fraser
  11. Ok got cable and connectors and heatshrink. Rad and old fans removed. On the connected left on the car I have a thin red/white wire a thick red/green wire a thick red/black wire and a thick brown wire. What am I bridging together and connecting where? The new fans have a blue and a black wire? Thanks, Fraser
  12. Brilliant, I will get stuck into this. Resistors is a bit above my skill level, I'm happy for them to run at full rate. What size cabling do you recommend? Regards Fraser

    Vr6 isv

    I'll have this please. Fraser
  14. Can anyone confirm if this diagram is the way to wire up the Spal fans in a VR? I pulled it from an old thread but the thread wasn't clear. What size of wire should I use? Regards Fraser
  15. That would be great if you could send a picture of them in place easypops. The wiring for my relays come out underneath and come up the from of the heater. Am I right in saying that picture shows the wiring running up the bulkhead then over the top of the heater (between the heater and the dash) then down the front? Regards Fraser
  16. I have the glove box and under-tray removed. What are the brackets connected to? The body, the dash? Fraser
  17. Ohh, ABS. That's handy to know as mine is temperamental. Where should they be sitting, as mine were just hanging in a mass of other cables. Cheers Fraser

    Sunroof part

Looking for an offside slider thingy for my sunroof. Hopefully in the off change that somebody has spares laying around. Fraser
  19. I'm in the process of doing a fair amount of work to the Storm. One of the jobs is removing all redundant old cables etc from the radio. Whilst doing this I came across some strange things. I found what looks like a thermostat that can be adjusted sitting behind the glove box and is attached via a metal wire to the heater box. Can anyone tell me what it's for? The other thing I want to know about is relays 179 of which there were two and relay 79. These again where amongst a mass of cables behind the shelf in the passenger footwell. What are they for and where should they be located? As they were all dangling. The final item is hard to see in the pictures, but I think it's for the AC. It's located between the interior fan and the housing. It's covered in horrendous tar like stuff. It has hoses coming off it that prevent my shelf from being fitted properly, tried everything to try and bend them or move them, but they won't budge, any ideas? I no longer have AC so would be temped to remove, if I knew where the hoses went. Fraser
  20. This weather is useless for getting work done on the car. I currently have no windscreen or sunroof in while I'm fixing various issues. So I've been squeezing it in my garage-and it's a very tight squeeze. Once the better weather approaches we should try and all get together. We could go along to the Tartan Tarmac meet its on once a month on a Sunday and there's generally a good mix of cars, some very exotic indeed. The Scottish VAG meets seem few and far between. Fraser
  21. Got stuck in to it today. Decided on tapping into the blue/white feed to the amp. I added a 500mA inline fuse for the aerial. Tested it and I'm really happy, sound quality is great on both fm and digital. The new aerial also ties in well with the car and doesn't look too different from OEM.
  22. Looking for a rear number plate surround. Preferably not broken or cracked. Cheers Fraser
  23. Just read the whole thread-great read. I've not long returned to the forum and I remember JoeMs car well. I seem to remember it making good figures at Star Performance about 12 years ago. Well done on saving the Storm! Work looks great. I have just had the same rust issues around the windscreen as you-although just the top edge. Had to cut about and inch off all the way along. The standard of Scottish Corrados seems to be getting higher and higher. Once the better weather approaches we should all arrange a meet. Fraser
  24. It's confusing reading through posts and searches as generally they don't state what loom is being discussed and it's so easy to get confused. F
  25. Cmalyan-yes on the cars loom I think the blue/white is for the spoiler. But on heady its its for the amp. I have an amp in the boot so might just tap into that if I can find a good spot. Thanks delfinis38!! Fraser
