But running 8x17s the FK stuff lowers it too much. THE BIG QUESTION! Whos had a RR before? Polished my inlet manifold, P200, P400, P600 on polisher, then 1200 by hand then mini tool with metal polish. Took me all day, on and off and........................................It looks sh.t !

I thought it was trendy to take the rear wiper off and leave it off ? I was thinking of doing this as the spoiler stops the screen getting cr.p on it unlike the mk1s and 2s i have had which go black in a few miles!

Funny that cuz yours looked rather straight to me bud! They put the plate in and it just brought up the last service which was on my paperwork, but nothing else? I have at least 10 main dealer service visits from 60 to 100k all at that same dealer, so should they be on there. I have proof! Perhaps the kidy could have tabbed through the screens then? It said no recalls outstanding at the bottom left. Im sure the first 60k is on someones screen somewhere, and that will prob add £500 to the value of the car not to mention my grin.

I think you told me a while back i may have rubage with 215s on 8x17s at the back though? Thats my only worry, apart from the bill from stealth that is! Im planning on taking up the suspension kit and all the bits or is it best to get them to supply the lot? (apart from the rear axel bushes i've already bought) and i think my front top mounts were done by vag only 15k ago, but it feels well crashey at the font with the 17s on now. Am i looking at around the grand mark for a day at stealth and the susp kit and maybe a cam sensor or 2?

My car has printed VAG history from about 60k to date, service book lost. I have just bought a replacement service book and they will be able to stamp all this history in there (dealer 417), cool. But what about the rest! The supplying dealer was no 166, which according to my local dealer must have been taken over but they are obliged to keep the records. There is a central computer storing last service which all checks out but each individual service is app kept at each indiv dealer. How do i find my early history from 166 dealership which now prob has a diff dealer no, or am i waisting my time. :( (better change my signature after this post!)

Dinkus, yeah but you said and I quote "no mate, thats all tappet noise". Prob even more expensive ! Well on the no paranoya (spelling?) front its failed a pre mot on...... Rear bump stops (missing completely!) Rear axel bushes (just bought them from vag) Front wishbone bushes (still pondering powerflex option) Shocks (need the drop anyway) And my cambers out because my new tyres are disapearing rather fast! Headlight (which wont come out!) and the pinking is real. My main paranoya is that it doesnt run right without a supercharger or VGI !

aaa, thats the one i want then colour coded they look quite nice and subtle i think. This ones very much personal taste though, each to their won etc. Like to see what the reiger looks like though and i cant find a pick?

DONT STRESS THE COIL PACK!

First thing i did to mine and from memory its a pain but not too bad. Dont think you need any spec tools, just be methodical, removing the coil pack etc. Mine didnt seal first time out so i had to do it twice. Not much help mate, but my only advice is take it slow and spend some time cleaning up all the hose ends etc and make sure the hose clips sit nicely when it all goes back together. AND USE JUBILEES - for next time!

Is this the one thats deeper over the headlights but shallower in the middle? If so i like those ones and will buy it off you if you dont slap it on.

Getting twitchy on this one now, keep phoning to order and chickening out. I want a 40mm rear drop at the back running 8x17s with 215/40s. I think if i changed to 205s i would get away with more but tyres are brand new. I really wanted a coilover kit so i can play with the ride height when required, but its looking like maybe Kevs ta/h&r set up may be the ticket, but thats £500! FK AK's on Ebay are less than £300 delivered and include bump stops. HELP! Dont want to buy a kit and find i need to buy smaller wheels. Unless anyone wants to swop my brand new ronals for some minty 16s of some sort? Dont know what to do now, but its so high it makes me reach every time i look at the back end....

Blue Joe, any chance of a pick of those dials!???? Mods for me, ummm, wheels i dont think anyone else has gone for and i have a headlight that can never be removed ! Oh, and arguably the highest ride height on the forum !
