I have a VAG alarm fitted to my 94 vr but insurers want to know the make and model. I have both sets of original keys one set having the little black plates with the alarm codes on etc. Its been suggested that it may be a scorpion 5000 series but my only local shop cannot help. Surely im not going to have to spend 500 quid on a new closure thatchum when mine is and works fine if i knew what it was. VW are NO HELP for a change. Can they not look it up somewhere? Surely they know whats fitted to their cars at the main dealers, why am i not suprised. Specialist servicing, its the way forward !

thanks buddy, i am an original freak normally and vw mad having a mk1 lhasa green campaign golf for 7 years then mk2 then 16v then golf vr then the wife got the bug and got a chipped vento vr so i had to go the next step! suprised how much quicker it is actually and of course it looks soooooooooooooo much better. the speedlines are just a bit less than mint so perhaps ill go the refurb aproach for now. any ideas on that alarm? im sure they used to be quantom labeled but are they actually gemini alarms or something like that?? need to find out as i have no theft cover until i confirm, gasp chiver!

Hi guys, anyone fitted a green ind kit to a vr before? Only got the car at the weekend but already fitted the kit. Sounds amazing but really badly resonates through the car at about 4.5k? had a K&N on order too, would that be better? not sure i can afford both though! Also, anyone know what my fctory fitted full closure alarm might be? Its on a 94 and its original. Insurers on my case about it! Loving the car BIG TIME!!!! Hi people, i'm looking at a raddo at the weekend and wondered if anyone could offer any corrado specific advice? Main one being what to look for on the accident front, where stickers should be etc etc? Basically i'm going to buy it anyway as im fed up with not getting there in time over the last 3 months i've been after one. PS: Its a VR. THe wife has a vento VR, i had a golf VR but upgrading to the raddo as its faster than hers and i love em! PLEASE HELP? :?
