I think the equation to arrive at both differs. We tend to see higher dyno and drag racing numbers here for some reason. Even with our swill fuel.
-
Custom mapping will help a bit, but bear in mind you are making over 50 more bhp than a stock 2.8 vr6. The biggest all motor dyno was about 220hp. You still running a stock head?

had no idea Cat made cams for the g60. Whats the results in SAE?

fresh fluid will always make a difference. There is a driver's edition setup for sale in the vwvortex.com corrado classifieds.

it would never got such respect by American honda owners, :)

I didnt know he sold it to someone over the pond. Why'd you buy it to respray it?

Take advantage of the exchange rate, tttuning.com

we here in the states are using catcams as well. 1/2 the price of schricks, giving up 2hp at the most. http://www.catcams.be

You need mass to brake efficiently. Those rotors look like they will be quite brittle. You should stay with slotted rotors, such as ATE'S, if you must get a higher "performance" rotor.
-
can fit 205/45/17's as well in a pinch

I'd stick to a 40mm max drop. The suspension geometry becomes screwed up and your oilsump is going to take a beating. Weitec, h&r, nuespeed, h&r, eibach all make 40mm springs.

Old motronic wasnt that complicated. Can be done now...

I have one of the american ones. It's wicked!

For what thses things cost, noone here was able to get decent gains from them. I really think you're better off porting and gasket matching a stock exhaust manifold. Fastest all motor vr6 is in the 11's here and does not run a header.

the most expensive place in california cant even fix it

throwing any codes? -
With the strong £, I dont see why you dont get your chips from the states. You can get one from EIP mapped for the higher octane you have there, and still be ahead, financially. We all use GIAC chips here mostly. Garret Lim is a world reknown chip tuner. http://www.giacusa.com

rolling road test it.

intake dyno result. I'd get a GIAC chip as well.

depends on your goals. A set of cat 263° camshafts would be very cheap if purchased from the states and would net you 15bhp over 4k. An intake and exhaust would net you another 9-12hp as well.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1885903 porting the exhaust manifold is cheaper than a header and yields similar results. Gasket mathcing alone is worth 3hp. If you can get port wrok done cheaply, by all means do it. There is a guy here getting great numbers with stock valve sizes. Airflow is NOT a vr6 strongpoint.

Torque isnt the be all, end all. Look at Honda vtec engines. They spin to high heavens and will trounce most modded 8v, 12v's.
