  1. Nice mate. Have they welded the roof strips or filled them in? Also did they remove and are they refitting your windscreen? Only ask as I need my roof doing and some rust under the window seal so I wondered what they'd do about the windscreen, also might ask about roof gutter trim options?
  2. I've been having these exact thoughts of late. I think my Vr with the charger would trouble an m3 in a straight line but I've no doubt the m3 would run rings around the c in the corners. I'm swaying to getting Xmas out of the way, sort a bit of rust out on the c then seeing how the m3 market is. We shall see
  3. Think if I upgrade from gs3 I'd go for the galaxy alpha. However I'm half tempted to just save my cash and not enter another contract and buy something like a nexus 5 2nd hand. iPhones are very lovely however defies the point having to wrap it all up in a plastic case etc as it's so scratch prone.
  4. Looks awesome. I hope you get the price you want but I knew Ramsey's car very well and that was like brand new inside and was making good power and a very tidy storm that had a very different price. But each has a different appeal
  5. As said it depends how involved you want to be, yes you could charge a VR for less with cheaper parts from eBay, sacrifice a lot of your own time and effort and dealing with the issues you face OR place it in the hands of Stealth who have the reputable parts, the know how and turn up and collect your beast of a new car! either solution can yield awesome results, I guess its how capable you are and the size of your wallet!
  6. Seems pretty tidy and low mileage. But this would be all yours Kev, I still have the C and a lack of funds is a bit of an issue :( Ive been having a browse quite a bit the last few months and the B5s seem to have hit that level where they wont likely depreciate too much due to the sheer performance they offer, you can get a much more modern car for the money but doesnt seem too much that will even come close to it on performance when one is tuned! but at present even with a mere circa 300bhp, my C still puts a smile on my face :) especially when on full chat going under an underpass!
  7. Off topic but when I move the C on, a B5 RS4 is giong to be at the top of my list, a B7 would be top albeit funds are a way off yet even for a B5!
  8. Fantastic work buddy. Loving the look. Good figures too with a vortech ;)
  9. Just having a browse on PH and noticed it was included in one of the dream £100k garages. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=23&t=1433354&nmt=RE%3A+%26%23163%3B100K+Garage%3A+Chris+Haddrell#topicTop
  10. sorry about that Dude Vr6, i take it you didnt get a refund or reply? well if any other buyers are considering his lenses from USA, hopefully they see this and it raises some awareness of this chaps scams and stops another potential victim then all is not lost. If i cant get my funds back then it would be nice to stop him from doing this to others!
  11. I raised it with the seller as suggested by eBay/PayPal and that exchange of messages took so long, unbeknown to me i missed my window of opportunity to raise a dispute, it makes me think the seller knew this and delayed his responses on purpose. I just feel rather miffed that ive paid for goods through the legitimate channels and im left with no one willing to help. I guess next time as you say the good grace of givnig them time to resolve the issue goes out the window and ill be straight onto eBay! however as people search for new fog lights i thought id highlight my case to warn others!
  12. I couldn’t find any bad seller thread so I Just wanted to make people aware of the ebay seller the_street_shop and my recent experience. I ordered a set of VR6 replacement fog light lenses and paid through eBay/PayPal back in April yet nothing has arrived. I contacted the seller and they said they will look into it for me, then no response, i then chased again to which they said it had been posted and asked for my address again to check, I asked for the proof of postage and tracking number and no response. This process took about 2 months to get replies from the seller. I then contacted Ebay who formally contacted the seller on my behalf however, again no reply was received. Ebay said they will investigate the seller if no contact is received however cannot help with my transaction as i didn’t raise a dispute with in 30 days of the expected delivery date, However this is because i was in correspondence with the seller and awaiting their replies, which is what Ebay and Paypal advise you to do in such circumstances. So because the seller took so long to reply to my messages, ebay and Paypal accept no responsibility. In essence i just wanted to make people aware to raise an issue straight away with any seller and to avoid this seller if looking for corrado parts. This is the first issue ive ever had with an ebay/PayPal transaction and im left a little shocked by how badly either has handled my case and essentially passed the buck amongst themselves with no one taking ownership and unwilling to help, to top it off i cant even leave negative feedback against the seller to warn off others as this feature has lapsed on my purchase! Not a happy chappy and i certainly wont be using Ebay/Paypal again for any purchases over a tenner!
  13. I think the buying outright 2nd hand appeals more to me, i guess the major perk of this would be owning and driving a new car, however the 2nd hand market seems quite open at the moment with plenty of choice and most cars 2nd hand are newer than a corrado lol!
  14. Great choice and love the colour! forgive my naivety on this but this is something completely new to me. with a lease car, are you effectively just renting the said vehicle for a period of time for x cost and when that time is up, you simply give the car back? so it might cost say £13k+ for a 3 year lease (based on £326pm and £2k deposit), you then hand the car back and it’s up to the lease company to sell it on or do as they wish, meaning you don’t take the hit in its depreciation, but don’t have anything to sell on? But i see the side that most folk don’t have £30k to buy a new golf R and will likely need a loan or finance anyway and this will incur interest, but will it really depreciate that much in 3 years that a lease is better than buying outright then possibly selling on after 3 years for say circa £22k? Sorry for the lack of knowledge but ive only ever owned corrados and the prospect of buying a new lke this is a long way off, however i can see this options appeal. shame you can't map it as ive heard these mk7 R's are very responsive to a little tweak!
  15. Can vouch for stealth too, albeit in the supercharged form. Drives and idles as if it was factory, however it just has 50% more power. Top work by vince.
  16. Hi. Yeah sorry. Have been a bit slack lately moving out with the mrs so Vr has taken a bit of a back seat as of late. No pics I'm afraid but bought the full set of vt engine mounts that were for sale on here and has made such a difference to the drive, especially putting the power down. Vr6 lee. As for headlining I bought some fabric off of ebay and did it all myself. All in materials cost about £50 and a fair few hours labour. However one of the best mods I've done as it completely tranforms the interior. When my finances are back on track will be getting the roof and rear sprayed. However new tv needs paying off first ;) World Cup and all!
  17. Haha, clearly ipad auto correct in action there ;)
  18. Page 6 of my thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=49971&page=6 Pics don't do it justice really. Looks much better in the flesh it really does transform the interior as I could always see my grey headlining at the top of my vision where as the black just blends in :)
  19. Awesome work mate. Fist play for determination
  20. Trimmed mine myself. One of the best things I did, looks so much better inside now.
  21. Love the updates with this. Can't believe though they'd block your drive in like that with no warning :0
  22. Few of us down here in dorset so hope to see you down here sometime :)
  23. Also where did you purchase these from and whats the reason for removing them? Do they have any part no.s on them? shouls match up with whats on this link: http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/_assets/parts/diagrams/GolfMKIII-VAG810B-VAG900B_340.pdf ]
