Personally I dont have a problem with it. He is a trained driver and it seem that the media have spruced the story up a LITTLE. If he can get away scott free then it seems that the attitude towards the silly low speed limit that this country enforces might just be slipping. if a trained cop can get away with 160 then we the general public should be able to jaunt along at 90 on motorways.

driving home today in heavy traffic the car started to judder and then almost conked out. then steam from under the bonnet. so after some guys helped me push her out of the way I called the AA. Quick as you like (15 mins) Guy was looking under bonnet and saying things like just a hose popped off. So im thinking not too much of a problem. after he fixed the hose i turned the car over to an idle reminicent of an old Fiesta that has been thrashed one too many times. The AA Guy exclaims" Think it might be f***ed, sounds like the head gasket) :cry: Well after towing it to my VW spannerman and thinking ive only had her a month and Ive killed her. He has a look and says was it steaming? could it have got into the dizzy? pop it off and wipe it out. Turned her over and Sorted :D :D :D

hmmmmmmm its a good point. I cant picture where the gap is. What would be the worst case if the seal was blocked and water filled up to overflow point? is there anything electric that could get submersed and fried? if not no troubs.

My old man had a squirrel living in his car. It was using the space under the wiper motor to store his nuts. That was till we nicked them all and covered the area in grease.

halfrauds do one for about a tenner. looks more sleek than the Standard one as it doesn't have the coil wrapped around it.

Thanks for that walkthrough. I can now get loadsa stations and rds text comes up. It was realy easy to do and took about an hour this morning. Few Pics to follow. If anyone has pants Radio reception but was worried about messing with the headlining, give it a shot. You only need to remove 1 bit of trim. the bit can see when you open the boot. the lining flexes out of the way just enough to not need removing. and its FREE :D

Does anyone have a shelf from Letsbuycaraudio.com? I am looking to get a shelf but want to keep the speakers hidden. does anyone know of a company that makes the shelves that you can put speakers under, and from the top they look inocent?

aaaargh. are there invisible screws? I undid all i could. the doorcard looked like it was going to cha cha slide off but it really didnt want to. Im worried about snapping it. But I really want rid of those orrible nasty paper speakers. Am I missing something? has anyone got that link to the walkthrough because I cant see it on search.

Just picked up some Alpine front components to replace the stock ones on my 92 c. from reading the threads I understand that the grills prize off for the tweeters but is it the same for the door pods. Dont want to be making nasty gouges out of the trim. Is it grills off and screws behind grill and door handle?

ive just got my first VR insured with Elephant. 1 year ncs and at fault accident 2 years ago. car was 670 and extra 30 quid for wheels and an induction kit. I would say (at a mindless guess) annother 30 nicker for the exhaust.
