new plugs are set to the right gap? stupid fathers
-
cant find it in the manual, what space should there be on em?
-
no the bad times are times to sell on your lovely looking black g60 to me, for the princely sum of £5 it will be well looked after :D
-
the 406 coupes are so slow though, agreed it is a nice looking car but its SO heavy and even in 2.5 v6 is underpowered. imho. go get a skyline
-
that rado wasnt all bad, nice colour at least
-
oh aye, i've seen some dutch meet and boy howdy does those things roar with a bit of induction, and a nice exahust doesnt hurt either. and you'll never find a car that has the absolute zero coolness of the active spoiler man i still watch it go up and down :D
-
well ok i get that too i just love the styling on it :D, and that 5 cylinder engine sounds mean. i have seen a few examples of its awful handling, i was just trying to (badly) point out the ammount of power put through the wheels on a 20v turbo sint much diff from some of the modded vr's, i just dont know what the point was now.. so er.. you win
-
im about to order the inspection bung and pressure sensor :D and holy crap i wish i handt asked how much a replacement grille was.. and £17 for a plastic badge?!?!? damn. thanks for the help guys :D spent most of the past few days fixing the bonnet release cable though :D best buy a new oil filter and plugs, the oil is like treacle
-
/me defends the fiat coupe lovely styling, and the comment on the fwd you cant really moan seeing as the rado is fwd (much better handling i know but meh) maybe a ford cougar? i know the v6 you can slap from fwd to AWD :D sounds cool to me! specially in that blue.
-
Caios - i just dont think there everyones cup of tea, plus nobody seems to know anything about em. oh that, and the cambelt costs 1k to replace ;) engine out job!
-
you'll probably all lynh me for saying it, but a fiat coupe. they look the dogs go like hell and there's alot of engine options. high insuracne group though.. but kinda worth it, you see even less coupes than rado's! they did. 2.0 16v, and 16v turbo, then later 2.0 20v and 20v turbo (the latter coming with LSD as standard) the slowest model was obviously the normally aspirated 16v pushing out 147bhp, the 20v making around 150, 16v turbo punchin out 190+bhp and the 20v turbo 220bhp. the model to look for was the 20v turbo plus, had a nice factor fitted bodykit nicer wheels and better colours. i was gonna buy one before i got my g60 :D i think the 20v turbo will be my next victim when im about 25 :D

urm its a g60 henny, oil pressure seems to have stopped leaking, but i think its still flashing so the whole thing might be needing a replacement. i was *told it was a breather filter, it sits atop the rocker cover on the right, its a black square cap with 2 screws on it with a black pipe leading to a inch thick pipe, slight oil leakage at the small to large pipe joining (maybe a jubilee clip to fix?) as for moulding marks i thought it might but there appears to be a bit of toothed gear visible, although im not exactly a mechanic or anything so wth do i know? heres' the pics with commentary ;)
-
is leaking! first of many problems im sure ;) i got it tightened up but i havent run it yet to see if its sroted it out, i heard its a cheap fix if the whole thing needs doing (less than £20?) other things i noticed, my breather filter looks like its on its last legs (im guessing that can be done for about £7) AAAND best of all somewhere above the sump right up against the engine block there's 3 small holes, no sign of wear of any kind of fluid escaping, but it does look like it should have a double rubber plug on top of it.. not a clue what that is but doesnt seem to be detremental... any comments on prices or whatever reply away :)

got an alarm from elser and an immob from autowatch, both fitted before i had it. immob is fine. the alarm is fine too, apart from the fact that after i lock the car with it, 2 mins later it goes off! problem is the c/l works off the alarm and the door handles are passat handles so they got no keyhole! atm im pushing down the door pins, then locking it and unlocking it just to get in.. im thinking its because it was disconnected for a few weeks so it didnt drain the battery.. i have no idea and i need to sort it out so i can have a techie look it over and sign a form so my insurance will cover me for theft... and well so my r/cl works too! any ideas guys? the alarm its-self is under the bonnet and has 2 connectors, both long thin afairs similar to the ribbon cables in pc's. i await some helpage ;)

hmm is there a way i can find out? wouldnt know if i was looking at a PAS belt if it snapped off and hit me in the eye, especially under a rado bonnet, damn cramped in there!
-
coming from under the bonnet somewhere, it sounds like a fan belt thats got a bit wet (infact it may have was doing lot of wet cleaning today damn me and the pressure washer) just wondering if it is the fan belt or the charger? please just tell me some rubber is wet and squealing? :D cheers
-
cup 1 is very old skool, cup 2 is a bit meh, and cup3 looks dope, im sure somebody here has those on a rado, looked slick!

sounds like a good idea jim! need to pop round the corner to ABP Motorsport and se if they have any K&N filter cleaner/oil. then perhaps do some repairs to the front valance under the bumper has a couple of cracks :D see how the filter sounds without that nasty snorkel ;) oh one thing, i heard g60's cant have induction kits? is this true, somebody was telling me about the bosch multi-something stopping it -

maybe new wheels, drill the airbox. for now its gonna get a damn good cleaning, specially the allys, them bbs' need some wheel acid (in my professional opinion as ex-valeter) looks a bit skanky atm. no kerbing though! a good t-cut (or perhaps brasso) and another good day of waxing/polishing and it'll be where i want it.. just started effin raining now! only waxed it 30mins ago! argh -
wahaha i just got my rado yesterday, speed bumps are evil, just upgraded from a 1.1 pug 106 :d speed bumps are easily traversable at 35mph ;)
-
well just got it home yesterday. body is pretty tidy just a few carpark battle scars and stonechips. having a right fun time with the alarm atm (soon soert that out..) had a new front tyre today and going for full stainless on friday (£305 old one was blowing) everything is in good order but im guessing the filter needs a fuzzin good clean! anyway just a few taster pics till i have chance to really give her a clean! *pics at bottom*
-
