It does start the full closure though - only goes for 2 seconds then stops though - so hopefully its just the pulse that needs altering. I'll try different timings to make sure I don't burn it out. And yes, it was Sounds Alarming. Jay swears he didn't touch any alarm stuff, so I'll find out when I get CNPro..

Ah-ha - that would make sense. Ta' peeps. And the installer told me 30 secs is good for Corrados. He did learn how to be an Auto-Electrician on Corrados, so... ;)

I've spoken to him on the phone, and he's willing to fix it - its just finding the time when I'm off and he's not busy - being one of the most reputable alarm companies in the South East, he is a very busy chap! He's happy for me to tinkle with it. Just wanted to do it myself really! Gotta do something on my days off ;) h100vw, do you mean to me, or for me to ring my fitters?

For some reason, when I had the climate control, I lost the 'auto-close' feature on my windows which came from my Clifford Concept 300 alarm. I've now got CliffordNet 2.2, the cable, a handy entender for the port in the glove-box - but I can't for the life of me work out how to get it working again. Basically, I need to extend the lock-pulse to 30 seconds, so the windows and sunroof get the power to close. At the moment its about 5 seconds, so my window goes up a bit then stops. Anyone who's used this software know where to go? Can't find it in the software anywhere...

The width of the tyre doesn't affect the rolling radius.... You can fit 215s on a C without mods, and it only rubs when you really ground out in deep ditches at speed or heavily ladened. I have 215/40/17s Toyos on mine. The 205s were too stretched on my 7.5in width rims, so went up a size to get the protection. Plus Tyre-World don't seem to do Toyo Proxies :( And Paypal payment? Blimey! Get them CF donations rolling in chaps... hehe

Modulators do work, yeah. Depends if you want something plugged in your fag lighter all the time though. Might be better off hard-wiring it in out of sight (wire a second fag lighter if up if want - I have two in mine ;)) And bare in mind FM radio waves are compressed - so you will loose audio quality. And I'd like to know how you get 'surround sound' out of a stereo jack... ahem. At £13.49 all in - try it mate. If it don't work, flog it to someone at a meet for £20.... ;) You could buy this from the bloke too, and chop the end off, and hard-wire the triple plug in so you end up with a triple plug on your passenger footwell shelf. Then you plug in your fm modulator and car charger for you mp3 player, and car charger for your phone - all at once.

I'm on 203k miles and going strong, mate :) It's whether they've been well maintained that makes the difference. Give me a well-looked after 200k'er over a driven-on-no-oil-and-no-care 50k'er anyday.

Just to really state the obvious, but you haven't mentionned it...... didn't knock the dimmer dial did you?

I use my local ATS for the 'don't wanna get my hands dirty jobs' too. Top lads and I love the 'turn up and get it seen to' lack of booking too! (Do 'cash' work too to save even more too ;))

The headunits I've installed, you need an extra loom which plugs in the back, to give you the 'AUX in' RCA plugs. Then when plugged in, the "Enable AUX in" will appear in your Menu..

The durability of diesel engines - well, old ones anyhow - they don't need an alternator to keep going, only to power auxillaries like lights, etc. I remember when the alt when on my white escort van (couple of years ago now and it was a work van, not my own!). No lights, indicators, brake lights, fan, radio - all dead. Engine was fine though - just don't stall it and park on a hill :)

Ok, so the Corrado is OBD1 but can have an OBD2 connector - if you're looking to buy a cable for it ;)

fla, best bet is to pop up the gear-surround - I presume it'll be the same on an Auto, and find the connector. OBD2 (the better for diagnostics) looks like this:

Eh Kev? OBD2 is the scart-like connector - which I have in my '94 VR6! OBD1 is the old-style found in G60s and older VRs, is it not? aka 2x2

Talk to your bank. Cheques officially never completely clear. You can withdraw the money at least over a month since its gone in.....

Sounds like your clutch is slipping under power...... new clutch time! (May just be a leak in one of the cylinders though..... would need inverstigating!)

And here's on mine. 8) Dead chuffed. Its good having both fogs with reflectors now. I've had both bulbs, but now they both look the same :) I also wired up the indicator/tail clusters with bullet connectors instead of the straight-thru ones they give you - just in case I have to take them off, or whatever.
