Well my poor rado was collected today! first time its moved for 3 weeks!!! The problems causing the running faults are: the throttle switch is dead! :mad: the lambda probe is dead! :mad: and lambda sensor wiring although the plug was repaired on a temp basis to see if it sorted the problems ...decided to get that done as well as the guy believes the contacts are still not good! :x and all of this has caused all my problems :mad: well the good news is it will be sorted and back to me for the weekend for me to fit my new audioscape door pods!!! :lol:

Will a set of 16X8's front and rear fit on my 16V with no rubbing issues and no arch work?

See told ya mine was worse its getting low loaded into the local vw expert next week as a mobile mechanic gave up on her!!! next thing will be cant get it on the low loader as its slammed to the floor!! I can see it coming.... Oh and its decided to chew up another battery just for fun!!!

yes cleaning it can make quite abit of difference as stated above is the best way of cleaning it... it is located at the top left hand side of the manifold.... it will probably be black it will have a grey plug at one end and two pipes running to it one at the opposite end to the electrical connection and one underneath... hope that helps!

An update it is apparently a fueling problem as i had a mobile mechanic out to it today... The guy was acomplete ar##e and couldnt fix it or even say what part was wrong but he did squirt some fuel or what ever into the system direct and the revs etc picked up everytime.... he suggested to take it to my local vw specialist.... great idea i told him except he is half an hour away and the car runs for less than two minutes.....! GRRRRRRRRR what an idiot. But spoke to local vw guy and because i get my rado serviced there he has agreed to pickk the car up on a low loader next week and sort for me!!! Result will be mega bucks but never mind!!!

Jay thanks abunch thats a great help.... strange as i know it has been broken for along while maybe even when i bought it some 4 years ago!! just never taken a piccy!!! but the car has always run fine until a few weeks ago! any ideas how i can fix it as its not exactly in an easy place to get at and its snapped at the connector point!

Whilst investigating my current running problems i noticed a plug with a brown wire broken see photo... Was wondering what it was i noticed it some while ago so i know its not causing all my running problems but am sure it should be connected! Any ideas cheers

Well had my head under the bonnet again today .... everything seems tobe connected etc... the same thing happened again after a couple of mins it starts missing and eventually dies.... i did hear a sucking noise though whilst it was dying could this be anything??
