Looking good matey!! -
No not got em yet due to the expense of getting it running again!!!
-
Just a few shots of our C's seeing as they are both running again!!
-
my advice would be too spend more on a set of front comps and a pair of cheap ish 6x9's in the rear... since i changed to a set of focal comps in the front the sound difference even with cheap ish 6x9's is much better.... look on ebay get some 2nd hand ones and save yourself a small fortune!!!

nugget g60 in malton nr york on 19th.... -
Nice lookin c... let us know how you get on with the issues, remember if you are happy thats all that really matters!!! ive had all kinds of running problems with mine recently if the remnants are not the problem worth checking the lambda probe and connections and your throttle switch......
-
great not too expensive will give it a go....
-
ive re run it which solved the clicking sound i had!!! will give it another check though!
-
Yeh that sounds the same thing! i tested mine before putting back but only had the engine running on idle!!! sounded great then i put it all back together took it for a run and doh how annoying!!LOL will check the + and - first then out with the interior again!!! i would have thought there was enough distance between the edge and the centre console though to stop any probs trouble?
-
pm'd back the rears are tricky the bench itself is a straight swop but the backs do require stripping of both frames and swopping over....
-
well have installed my new audioscape pods and focal comps and i now have a whizzing sound coming through the speakers??? I have an infiniti 4 way amp which previously powered my 6x9's... all i have changed is ive run new cables for the comps down the centre console... power cable runs down the left side of car... 2nd rca lead for the front speakers.... could the problem be from the rca cable picking up something or maybe the speaker cables??
-
have thought about fitting the triangle focus ones... sure have seen them fitted to a c before?

Well shes back at long last... am i gonna drive it all weekend or what!!! after ive fitted the door pods etc!!! Life is great again!!! :D -
ive black exterior and black leather but with a grey dash etc.... I like it but it is very dark.... the best looking interior is a light colour if your car is a dark colour outside provides a nice contrast IMO.... are you getting your seats re trimmed coz i would go for a biege/cream colour with a dark green piping or something like that??

2.0ltr 16v came standard with a 42mm manifold. the 50 mm one is from a 89 golf 16v i think. ive just recently swopped mine to a 50mm from the standard 42mm.
-
fitted my new audioscape door pods onto my spare door cards and fitted my focals to the door pods... just need the car back now!!!!! Its at a car hosptal im afraid!!!! having a new lamda probe fitted and a new throttle switch! boo hoooooo i miss it!!!!!!!!!
-
ok thanks all will leave as is!!! no point in making work for the sake of it!!!
-
have seen this set up was wondering if it was worth it? not happy with the quality of the one shown but you get the basic idea... i have 6x9's in the rear shelf and some focal 6.5 components in some audioscape door pods.... would the project be worth the hassle??
-
you need to look for seats that are both low fitting and narrow at the pivot point or that adjust on both sides!
-
good idea and plenty of potential!! would be nice if a few of us did this and linked between???

Phil K thanks for the offer but i have instructed specialist mechanic to order new bits seeing as they recovered the vehicle free of charge for me.... i thought it was the least i could do!!!! plus dont have to get my hands dirty again!!! Thanks for the offer though sanj looks like you got yourself a throttle switch!!! hope it sorts out your probs! -
