I booked an alarm to be fitted at safe and sound but cancalled on me the day before and said they could not get the alarm in for two weeks. Well went away for two weeks and am a bit unsure whether to re-book now??? :?

Thanks people! The leather is in good knick, a few scrapes here & there, but nothing major. Bolsters all in tacked. I am looking to get some cleaner/restorer on it shortly. Could do with a new gear knob though. The C has, at some point been re-sprayed. I think due to a ding on the rear, near the VR6 badge. There are bubbles starting to come through. Possibly, due to the filler not going off properly? I took her to see a TVR body repairer I know of and has given me a good quote to sort it out. Happy days! My garage have recommended a few bits & pieces; Sump gasket [leaking], 3mm on a tyre, alt belt needs changing and I think front lower ball joint, carnt quite remember now. Still waiting for the quote to come through. My brakes are squeaking a little, so will sort that out too. Right Mr VR6, straight down to business hey! She drove the 270 miles back like a dream, & I got stuck in a major traffic jam for a good hour. I think it was something like 4 miles in the hour!! All levels sat nicely. So chuffed! BMC CDA is something I am def looking to put in! Missed one for sales on here the other week. Will keep my eyes peeled. Oh...just noticed, think I should change my sig...!

Right,.... After owning 2 very reliable 1.8 valvers for many years [one after the other] I have now finally purchased my 1st VR6! This has been a well over due purchase, and carnt believe I have not done it sooner! [sorry valver :( ] Ok, the story goes......Stumbled across the VR on a Friday at work, travelled 270miles south on Fri after work [not without giving the missus a 'little' bit of persuasion [well...probably a bit more than a little!]]. Luckily we had family nearby, so stayed over that night. Up at the crack of dawn like an over exited child on sherbet dip, and cruised over to view her.

Ditto that my friend!! I did my handle repair not so long ago and stabbed myself that many times my left hand was deemed useless for the rest of the week.....gutted! Today...however, I replaced my radiator for a brand spanking new one and new G12 ++ with minor injuries!

40 min drive home from work tonight and stalling for the 1st half.......but 2nd half was much better!! Ideling OK. Pulled up outside home and unplugged the ISV whilest ticking over and the engine cut out. Presume this means the ISV is working?!

Hey, I tried listening to it but couldnt tell if it was buzzing or vibrating as the engine noise was a bit overpowering. Cleaned pipes/hoses nearby, could not see any cracks or burns. Not tried unpluging it yet,a job for tonight I think....(will the engine tick over normally when unplugged?) My garage cleaned it a yr ago and sorted it out, £150quid seems a bit pricy for a new one!!??

Refitted ISV and still wont hold the revs?!!....anybody got a working one to sell??

Hey up! I think I have the same problem in my 1.8 valver?.....Thought I had a leak around the base of the rad, but on closer inspection I noticed coolant running down the left side down the tooth looking seam (as standing looking into the bay) comming from the very top... Is looking like a job for next weeknd!!!...or after payday..

Hi, Not noticed any crustynes on the side of the head? will have a look after work. The Garage said they thought it had been over tightened at some stage and cut into the pipe. I presume they had already spoaken to VW who said they could not get hold of it. I have spoaken to gsf and they suggested to try here or the corrado club. Think I need to find a valver up for spares, but would prefer a new part!

Hello all, My 1.8 valver on a J Regs is slowly leaking H2O.... :( It went in for an MOT and the garage said the part I need, VW stopped manufacturing it a few months back? Gutted. I have attached a doc they gave me and highlited the part. Does anyone know exactly what this part is and or know where I can get hold of one? Any help much appriciated! Ta!

Alright Dave! Finally got some 'one on one' with my C due to a house renovation chewin up all my time! New door handle repair kit fitted, a little fiddely but instructions carried me through!! 8) Well chuffed my door now works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I will never be afraid of filling up at the pump again, whilst the whole forecourt stare at you climbing through the passenger door and strategically pushing your drivers side door open so it won't slam shut as you run around!...........Thank you Dave!!

Not got a loom yet.......dont see the point as something is up with the wiring. Am thinking of strapping some torches to the bonnet!
