I think i might have sold my rado today and i havnt got my stereo in.I wired it up last week and had the permanent live wired up and everything was working fine,until my battery drained.What i need to know is how do i wire it up on permanent and ignition,which wire goes where.Ive done a search and cant find anything quickly help

I was thinking of replacing the brushes but i think its a 2nd hand alt that was put on there by a previous owner!! Ive been ringing around today for one and have been getting silly prices like £125, £166 £140..... Is this about right for an alt? My rado is an early 1992 on the verge of Mk1/Mk2 its a 2.0 16v. Is mine a 70amp or a 90amp??

missus drove the rado to work today and on the way home it died on her,called nice AA man and found the alternator to be dead so he charged batt up for me to get home. So I need to know where;s the best place to get an alternator as a good price and what amp should I get 65a or 90a??

where is the lambda probe and what should i look out for in the wiring?

girlfriend just got home from work after driving my rado and it bloody honks!!!Could it be the cat?(or the girlfriend!!) Also the car has been running funny lately,it feels like too much fuels going through sometimes like the choke is coming on and sounds like its purring!!! Please Help

the last few days it has been coming on when i go over 15 mph but yesterday and twice today it didnt come on? im confused!!!!!

I know its not a rado but the missus just bought a mk2 polo for £240 with 90k on it and it is mint for its age!! Anyway I want to add a few bits of styling to it ie:debadged grill,grill spoiler etc.Does anyone know where i can get anything for it?? cheers stevo

funny you should say that I'd had the boot light disconnected when my system was in and when i removed it i connected it back up.Does it stay on permanently then or only when you open the boot?

The other day I removed my sub and amp and stereo from my rado to put in my next car and everything seemed fine.I then didnt drive it for a few days and the battery is dead,there's no life in it whatsoeva!!! Would anyone know what caused this,would it be to do with anything I did when I took my system out? stevo

Found the problem-when it happened I didnt look under the bonnet,so I looked today and found the Power cable fuse holder for my amp wedged under the shift mech,hence why it wouldnt go into reverse DOH DOH DOH !!!!!!!

just had a look at it this morning.Took the apart where the gear stick is and there is a gold circlip broken,do i have to get one of these from vw dealers?
