  1. The storms I saw when I was in sydney were pretty amazing, Living in clovelly we could look miles out to sea when there was lightening and stuff, it looked stunning. The rain was pretty impressive too, really throwing it down. One night we decided to push one of the girls out under a hole in a bit of tarpaulin stuff where the rain was pouring through. mmm, wet girls....... :reindeer:
  2. I like that, I was gonna post something similar about high heels scratching the bonnet when they climbed onto it, but you beat me to it! haha Good work fella.
  3. I had a go in a 230k convertable, and it was a bloody fun little car, it's just a shame it doesn't match my roaring hetreosexual personality....sailors! Might get another little blat in it one day, I'm supposed to be seeing the girl that owns it somewhen. Possibly the Hyundai Coupe?? they're not too dissimmilar size/power cars.
  4. What was the point in perjurising (is that a real word) himself to get out of a speeding ticket? He must've realised he'd be found out. Mind you he probably also thought that haircut would look good
  5. Tip top thread revival time, just caught this on the news!! Check me out! Haha, looks like the halfwit was lying!!!!

    Diagnostics Port?

There is one for sale on here, I think i remember flusted advertising it amongst other things.
  7. A mate of mine did one while we were at uni, it is a fair bit of work removing material and would worry me that i was going to knacker the unit as it is pretty expensive. I'll send you his pm details. Essentially the unit isn't that complicated, it's pretty self explanatory when it's in pieces.
  8. An early golf mk2 16v ECU is apparently a good mod for the K-jet 16v Corrado if you run it on super unleaded, has a more agressive advance curve apparently. David. So what would that do exactly? Isn't the 1.8 16v only supposed to run on super anyway? Does it unleash much more power?
  9. There was a thread on here from a couple of days ago, seem to remember about £50 something each from VW, have a bit of a search around on the forum.
  10. How do you get the corrado badge off? i've often thought about trying to remove all that cack behind mine.
  11. There's nothing to 'chip' on a k-jetronic injected car, the injection system is controlled by the airflow travelling into the inlet manifold, ie purely mechanical. And the ECU soley controls the ignition timing dependant on engine RPM load, temperature. And you needn't monkey around with that, as it's not really going to give you more power. or have you got other modifications?
  12. Thanks Dr. It turned out that the inside of the CAT had disintegrated and it's going for (another) retest on Friday.
  13. What is wrong with these Europeans? Kinda like the colour though....
  14. The bolts on mine were super tight, it may be worth giving them/the caliper carrier a wack with a hammer to help loosen them up. I just used pliers (possibly circlip pliers or some long nosed beasts) to wind my pistons back in if i remember rightly. It is a bit fiddly tho.
  15. I recently got a new rad from Wessex radiators in Bursledon, Southampton, They were very good on service, have a pretty good reputation and were £40 quid cheaper than dealer, for what looks like at least OEM quality. Does help if you're a bit local to here tho. If you interested, Yell.com them up.
  16. I think it's fair enough for geezers to dress up as birds, if they really like that kind of thing, but if they come round and start doing stuff to your car, that's just plain out of order  have you changed the oil in the box? just to see if anything has come loose as much as anything? Are the drive shaft bolts tight?
  17. Hey guys, I've just been talking to a mate who is trying to get a 3 cylinder ecotec engined corsa through the MOT, It's just failed on emmissions, CO% being too high to be precise, and my mate was advised to fit a new CAT, I'd have thought the lambda probe would be more likely to be the cause of the problem rather than the CAT itself. Any ideas would be great. Cheers Toad
  18. Check the gearbox-engine bolts are tight, i got a funny vibration when mine came loose. And just check that your flux capacitor isn't out of synch.
  19. I've been tempted to go to Peter Cooper in the past. I usually use Winchester Motor Company for parts, they're actually pretty good on the parts desk. Don't like the service weasels tho. Had a discussion along the lines of; me:My rear brakes don't work, I am sure the bias valve is wrong, can you fix this? them:that's clearly not the problem, why don't you bend over the bonnet while we do you with a torque wrench? and charge you £250 for stuff that isn't wrong, that doesn't make a difference to your problem? me:no ta, you wooly headed goon, I'll use a cable tie and jam the valve open thank you very much.
  20. The Fuel tank is about 55 litres, and about 50 from the top of the red to full. Ergo about $50! sadly  Edit: Dinkus beat me too it!
  21. now your just being silly lol Any day now he is going to post some videos of the car running on allgone. and he will clearly show the fuel lines disconnected in the process. Just you watch.....or listen, even, to the chenobyl sized explosion that you will be able to hear from across the atlantic ocean  No, no, no, no, no! He's clearly gonna come round each of our houses in turn with the flying car with it's special 9 ring joe cell set up, and show us and let us all have a go!
  22. I'm noticing a serious ammount of thread neglect, just as everyone was starting to have fun too!! haha. What's going on? has everyone fallen out of love with the joe cell or has potatonet been taken away by the cia/a major petrol company/aliens/men in white coats? Also if Orgone = Libido, can't you start selling it in pub toliets to rub on yourself to attract birds or something?

    Squeaky brakes

Some pads come with spring steel clips to stop them from vibrating, they just keep a little pressure on the pad to stop it from moving about or something, i've not quite worked out how they work. Perhaps the clips weren't fitted to yours Zip? It couldn't be anything caught in them, little stones or anything could it? the land rover is terrible for that. Try running a bit of emery paper over the sides of the calipers where the pads slide and re lubing with copper grease, just to make sure the pads can slide up and down easily.
