Can you afford to run a corrado, 1.11 per litre?
Jim Bowen replied to anndy's topic in General Car Chat
i've been doing 500miles a week in my VR6, thing is i do have a 2nd car but never use it because its slow and doesn't handle :( i seem to get about 300-320 from a full tank (15gallons) -
yeah, mine is doing this too. not sure what to do, most aftermarket ones look a bit weird to me
-
whats it meant to be? apart from a corrado with stickers on? is it a copy of a real racing car?

potn are having a vip sale today, if you ordered from them before you can get lots of bits cheap. i noticed an isotta wheel on there for about £60 instead of £150 odd http://www.potn.com/vipsale

this thread has originated from here: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 2&start=15 basically i bought a coolant hose and some clips and it came to £52 ish noticed someone else has bought the same part and wasn't much time inbetween me buying it and him buying it, so inflation can't come into it. i've just been on phone to the dealer i bought it from and then main VW office. the dealer told me all parts should cost the same, no matter where you buy them (didn't really tell him the scenerio, presumed he thought i was about to order a part through them) then VW main office said prices can differ due to dealers being franchised. i think a £20 increase on a £30 part is unreasonable. So this is what i purpose, VW said i can launch a complaint and they will look into it. I'm think if i get a few part numbers, this hose being one of them, i will phone a few dealers and get the price sent to me, so i can compare the prices etc. then get back in touch with VW The point of this thread i spose is to find out if anyone else has encountered this before and if anyone wants to suggest some part numbers or even get a price from their local dealer.

As far as leather care products go, i'm told alot are gimmicks and these so called conditioners do nothing but sit on top of the leather for a few days, car leather is protected/sealed so your just adding stuff on top.

why did you jack on the sill? :!
-
mine fell side ways off a stand as i jacked the other side up (with the jack from boot of car) ooops, learnt my lesson  i had put an axle stand next to rear bumper to slide under car and it fell on that, so the side of rear bumper was holding car up :! bumper crumpled up to less than half the height it should be, but luckily just pinged back and the only paint missing is underneath on bottom edge
-
that sticky foam is great for badges, i used it on my numberplate though (which is what it says its for on the packet) and it fell off
-
same with my mirrors, both just dead, nothing at all happens
-
i was thinking about this lastnight, if we could get a corrado floorplan and highlight the safe places to put jacks/axle stands. had mine fall over not long ago
