£861 after that i decided to try and do stuff myself instead :lol:

the creaking sounds like its coming in a line so to speak underneath the car, hard to describe really, at first i thought it was the plastic tunnel bit that runs between seats as it comes from there, but its not that. i do have something dodgy with a rear brake, the inside/backside of disc is all rusty. Something shudders at the same wheel as i take a corner quite hard, and yes steering/corners are very vague. am suspecting these bushes now, and possibly a wheel bearing. all i can do is put it on my growing list of things to replace. Doing front brake upgrade at the mo, so may as well do rear calipers too, this brake regulator looks crap so probably replace that. am starting to wonder whether its worth buying a 2nd hand axle to refurb with everything over the winter and fit it some time in the new year

agree, i spent a year or two looking at them before buying, had one a year now and still keep an eye on the prices i was looking at about £6k about 3yrs ago for a semi-decent one, £8-9k for a good one, now £3k-£4k gets a great example

not sure if its related, but i have developed a horrid creaking from the car as i pull away from junctions or drive around town, its exactly as the car moves forward/as you bring clutch up, but seems to be from under car and near to that area

does it have interior motion detectors? i found out i had a problem once and it was just the seatbelt moving around inside car and the angle of detector :lol:

right, further to this thread. this morning went to unlock car with the fob, passenger side opened fine, drivers didn't (basically the door pin doesn't rise, makes a small attempt then gets sucked back down), so locked car and unlocked and it worked fine. now at lunchtime, the drivers side opens fine, but passenger side won't, no matter how many times i lock and unlock, pin just goes up a fraction then back down. works fine with the key, whole car unlocks and locks everytime is it 100% the pump before i buy something i don't need? would i be best getting new? cost? or 2nd hand?

i want to take it off and refurb it all, if thats possible? will look at it properly but it seemed to be connected up to a few things

just thought i'd mention, i used VW syntha silver for the 1st of owning corrado and i was getting through loads of oil. recentely changed to a cheaper brand and now use quite a bit less ???

i started to try on a spare speedline and its fecking hard and time consuming, i got the spoke faces ok, but the little edges and corners i just couldn't budge the old paint/primer, really do need a sandblaster imo

don't think will get them, the more i look at the car the more i realise speedlines suit it better

got mine..........finally, from the ebay link in here and i not happy with it. was on car for all of 5mins :lol: it doesn't fit exactly how i want. acn anyone suggest any others and possibly show a close up pic, i only want a small one that doesn't look too silly, just black, shorter and rubber/plastic

well it wobbles about quite a bit, my handbrake is pretty stiff and creaks on hills? can i just take this off and refurb it? looks like it has metal pipes going into it

its on the passenger side, at the rear of car, underneath, next to the axle mounting, looks like some spring contraption and wobbles about quite a bit, this must be what shudders as i corner

is it much money for a pump? do you know where it is and can it be a DIY job?
