  1. Thanks for confirming that Adam
  2. Hi Not really a problem, but while I was checking the oil earlier I noticed that the gasket was blue (Feels like a neoprene type material) Is this a normal gasket or an aftermarket one? Thanks in advance Adam
  3. Ok, posted on that thread. I'll be up for that, sounds like it could be good. Adam
  4. Thanks Yeah, that sounds good. Any details? Adam
  5. Oh like that is it! Oh well i'll keep an ear out as well! Adam
  6. Blue_Joe I've got a '91 16v, it's kinda two tone inca blue (and standard looking) @ the mo (don't ask!) haven't seen your car about but i'll keep an eye out! Adam
  7. I did think about doing that but knowing my luck he'd do a runner!
  8. Just dropped my girlfriend and her mates off in town and was about to drive off when this bloke opens the door. I think 'What the hell.......' until he says 'Taxi..... Take me to Broad Street' I'm driving a Corrado do you really think i'm a taxi!!! Can't believe how pi**ed people are @ 7.30!
  9. Hi Has anyone got the part number for the seat back foam on the normal Corrado seats? (Its that part that contains the two bolsters that hug your ribs) Thanks in advance Adam
  10. Ok, still playing with this...... Can't really see what your describing. The thing I can see id riveted to another piece of metal that goes over the top of heater direction controls. Can't get an angle on the rivets to drill them, as they are pointing downwards. Does that make sense? Any other ideas? Adam
  11. Had a look at removing it (drilling it out) but can't see how to get access to it, Where do I need to drill? The part thats stopping it or the whole bracket thing? Thanks again Adam
  12. Thanks for the reply mate So it won't hurt removing the metal bracket? Last thing I want is for the thing to burst into flame! Is this what you've done? Adam
  13. Hi Just bought a Dension 100ix and was well chuffed until it came to fitting it. The HU seems to deep to fit in, comparing it to my old Sony its a good bit deeper. Bugger! Doesn't seem to be the wires stopping it as they are out of the way although I may be wrong. It seems to be stopping on the metal thing at the back (firewall?) so can I push this in or remove it all together? Anyone got any advice what I can do? Thanks Adam

    Sunroof Problems

I've got a guide I wrote a while ago, easy steps so even someone like me could do it! Let me know your e-mail address if you want it. Adam Dinkus....... Any luck with hosting this yet????
  16. When I fitted VDO gauges to my old MK2 it used to show near full pressure on start up (which is correct, oil thick when cold etc etc) then when it warmed up it sat near middle of gauge (perhaps a little bit to the lower side) and then moved to higher pressure when you revved the car so it sounds like its ok to me! Just got some more vdos to fit to my Corrado so i'd be grateful of any pics if possible?? Thanks Adam

    Fitting Gauges

I've just got a set of these as well and will be fitting them soon however i've already fitted a set of them to a mk2 GTI so.... 1. No idea.....yet! 2. Ditto! 3. Well the single bulb on its own isnt needed as that goes to the ashtray in the audi. You also won't need the relay. Basically each gauge will need an earth (you can group them) and a switched live (group the oil pressure and temperature but keep the voltage seperate-Shouldn't make a difference though) You then need a illumination feed for each one, that way they will dim in the same way as the dash lights. I doubt if the connectors will fit, but it really is easy. Have you got the pressure sender? Have you decided how to get the additional temperature signal? T-piece or lose the MFA function? I also have a MK2 guide on .pdf that I wrote if thats any good to you (identifies colours and which bits of the loom you need-Ignore the rest as its about fittng them to an 8v) Let me know if you want it Adam
  21. Hi Went out in my 16v (1.8 H Plate) this morning and it was faultless. But I've just been outside and started it up again and the engine started fine but the revs started to drop staright away and was making a knocking noise from the engine (quite loud, but only two or three knocks like it was trying to stall) I gave it a bit of gas and it stopped the knocking and the idle sat a 900 and the engine now ticked over great. Any ideas whats caused it? I'm going to change the blue temperature sensor this afternoon but is there anything else I should be looking at? Thanks (and sorry for the long post!) Adam
  22. Sorry..... Its a 1.8 16v 1991 Adam
  23. Hadn't thought of that, I had to change that on my old 8v Golf, any chance its the same type or any chance of a part number? Thanks for the help Adam
  24. Not a huge problem as it always (touches wood!) starts although when I first start it in the morning my 16v seems to run quite rough (like its firing on three-cylinders) It sson calms down and then behaves fine for the rest of the day. Any ideas? I've tried to use the search but its difficult to find something when you don't know what your looking for! Thanks Adam
  25. Thanks Which one should it replace? The brown or the white? I presume one is high pressure and one is low? Adam
