have you unpluged the coil on the o/s of the car. its just behind the headlight under the wing it might be that

i tightened them up quite hard and driven about 100 miles and they have drone straight from the start of me doin them

how long would it take to fail if i have over tighten it :oops: :roll:

does any body know the correct torque for the rear nut that holds the disk on. i don't want to over tighten it and ruin my bearings , thanks

i would check the spark plug again could be a dodgy one or even the coil lead.

hi people some help needed, when i accelerate in fist and second quite hard it feels like the whole of the front of the car try's to take off. basically it lifts off the ground as if it coming off the struts. i have tried to look at all the engine mounts as i thought one had gone but as far as i can see they are all in place. anybody any ideas thanks

HEAT UP, bang a spline socket in, let cool down and bobs your mothers aunt cheers for that sciroccotune, i ended up knocking a socket on again and it work wonders. just that now i am getting a droning noise :mad: looks like time for a bearing or two

funny enough i am doin mine at the moment and i had the same problem. i used the mole grips and that just rounded the the bolt thread so in the end i used a 10mm old socket and a big hammer ,wacked it on to the end then i could use a breaker bar on it( plus a soaking of wd) and to make things worst i am struggling with the back ones, i used hex socket and because they are so tight its rounded off :mad: so if anybodys any ideas please post them up(also tried the mole grips but kept slipping) trying again in the morning.

can any body help. i need a new bottom ball joint (front n/s) i have been on gsf and there are two one with BQ at the end and the others without. can someone tell which ones i will need. its a 1990 1.8 16v thanks

can someone help me please. i have got my MOT tomorrow and my reverse lights don't work. i have tried the fuse's and the bulbs. has any body any idea's to what it might be cheers oh yea its a 1.8 16v if it matters :lol:

it might not be happening yet,(for a while anyway) engine is for sale but i am thinking of keeping it as it took my ages to get it :lol:
