  1. Well hurry up, what you waiting for?
  2. Yeh noticed that afterwards mate, shall contribute in that thread. I just hope it does take off cos I'm definitely wanting to go! :D I'm definitely going across Europe this summer, if that trip works out or not, I have spoken to a few non corrado drivers who're pretty keen too. I like your thinking, defo count me in and I think you could probably count Corrado_Addict in aswell....
  3. Yeh noticed that afterwards mate, shall contribute in that thread. I just hope it does take off cos I'm definitely wanting to go! :D
  4. I suppose we can then do that in reverse? On the way back up, cover those roads? And I discovered the stelvio pass thread just now, so its good to know people have the same ideas going on, we may aswell go together?
  5. Corrado_Addict and myself are planning to go on a road trip around Europe, Top Gear style, in search of the best driving roads and to experience them, have a little fun and see/try new things. Our plan is to take the ferry across from Newcastle into Amsterdam, and here is the map that we have so far. Neither of us are certain if this is the best route but we tried to include the Millau Bridge at the south of France, should be worth seeing, Monaco, Modena and then the Stelvio to Davos road (I have heard this is slightly overrated but we would still like to go). From there on we're not too sure. Can anyone please guide us as to what is good and what isnt? Or perhaps a better route? Maybe roads that really should not be missed out? We are planning on going for 2 weeks, the last week in June and the first week in July. And another thing, we would definitely welcome anyone who might want to join us. Any help appreciated 8)
  6. All I can say is definitely do not go for the Avon ZV3's, they are absolute rubbish, seriously. I cant' comment on the Dunlops or the Toyos which you have mentioned though.
  7. _leon_: The schrick is awesome, makes the car SO much more urgent, I dont mean turbo/super charged style, but its just not lazy power anymore. You dont have to plant it to get the car to move, much better around town, and the howl just after 3k is amazing, love it. The diff, is brilliant! Takes a lot of getting used to and a helluva lot of confidence to trust that it will work and do what its supposed to do cos it only kicks in after it detects loss of traction, which is scary if you're doing some speed. Still havent mastered it yet but getting there. Seriously, LOVE the car even more now :D :D :D Not thought about the 3.68FD yet, I need someone to sit me down and go over with me what the hell that means. I know its final drive, but the 3.68 means absolutely diddly-squat to me and I havent a clue how that will affect the performance, need to do a little reading/bugging someone....
  8. _leon_: Yeh I would be up for that mate, just keep in touch eh fla: Cheers mate, been on the cards for a LONG time coming... junkie: I actually dont have an ARB on the front, didnt bother with that just yet, but might do when i get the charger on and then upgrade the rear to a 28mm, so basically my setup right now is just the standard front ARB and the 25mm rear ARB. I was afraid of the oversteering too, but you get used to it and learn how to drive that setup :)
  9. I have the Neuspeed 25mm aswell mate, and yeh, hell yeh, made a HUGE difference I feel, cant believe I didnt put it onto the stiffest setting to start off with, the car feels much more neutral and more balanced, and also makes the front end more pointy and precise and strangely "less nose heavy", HIGHLY recommended :D :D :D I'll be leaving Manch around Xmas time mate, will be back up in dundee new years... any other suggestions?
  10. Not yet, I will do that when I get it supercharged so at least it'll be worthwhile then, for now am happy with the little performance in hike, hehehe. From this forum I have heard they wipe better with little to no judder, sounds like a win-win to me :D I'd be interested aswell, but I cant be bothered with the time and money just now for the rolling road, I'd rather just wait until I get it charged. Yeh, I'm absolutely effin chuffed with it, that adjustment from the "medium" setting to the "stiff" setting on the ARB made a HUGE difference, and the diff, fook me how much fun is that thing!!!!!! The clutch has a better biting point, a little more precise. And the HOWL between 3k-4k revs, its bloody addictive, especially in 3rd gear!! And cheers for the welcome back :) Erm, when are you free? You dont seem to be on MSN nowadays, whats happened mate?
  11. Right, this year in August, at Stealth I got the following done; - Timing chains done (at just under 97k miles, more of a preventative measure than anything else) - Helix clutch fitted - Fidanza flywheel fitted - Schimmel camshafts fitted - Schrick manifold fitted - New electric water pump - New mechanical water pump - New thermostat housing with thermostat and sensors - New lambda and cam sensors - ARP head bolts fitted - Comlete head overhaul - Quaiffe diff fitted - Stealth custom map - Neuspeed rear ARB adjusted from medium to stiffest setting This is all in preparation to get a rotrex supercharger fitted and from then we'll see how things go :D :D :D
  12. Erm, I need to keep this upto date more often lol. Right, last year, around October-ish time, I got a fair bit done at Stealth; - New rear axle with new OEM bushes (had a 'little' bump that sent my axle out) - New rear brake bias valve - Goodridge stainless steel hoses - The whole 312mm brake setup at the front (want to go bigger/better soon tho...) - Neuspeed rear ARB 25mm (set to medium setting) - Mocal oil cooler fitted - Both standard radiator fans ditched for lightweight 10" and a 12" fans - New front wishbones with new bushes - New balljoints - New rod and ends - Koni fully adjustable coilovers fitted with new bumpstops and top mounts I think that was all that I needed, not had a look at the sheet yet. Before this visit, I already had; - BMC CDA - Magnatec HT leads - Enlargened, ported and flowed throttle body - Lupo wpers (will change for the Audi TT wipers soon enough) - Billet gearknob from SNS
  13. I think I might want to actually change 'em before they are past it, but lets see eh...
  14. And after how long would you recommend changing coilovers? I do drive fairly hard, I'm thinking 3-4 years max?
  15. I recently had a set of 4 Uniroyal Rainsports 1 all around, then went for Rainsports 2 which were an improvement. Now I have Continental SportContacts 2 on the fronts (thanks to a nail :bad-words:) so I had to replace both front tyres. They do feel comfier but havent had the chance to really test em yet. The Rainsports were absolutely terrific in the wet tho, the SportContacts 2's so far feel a little more precise.
  16. When you say price isnt much of a problem I thought they would be a couple of hundred more, clearly not, for the AST 3ways, 2,450GBP (heck, their most basic kit costs 995GBP ) but for the KW V3s, 1,019GBP. I currently have Koni coilovers and I must admit I'm not overly impressed. They are definitely better than my old Weitec springs/shocks but I would want better. Any ideas anyone on how long you should ideally wait to change your coilovers (provided you dont want to remove and sell)? I really REALLY want to try the KW V3s now...
  17. Thanks for your replies mate, much appreciated :thumbleft:
  18. So minimum 17s then? What about the 330 AP ones, 17" wheels be ok?
  19. Hhhmmm, even for the 323s, I'm assuming I'll have to ditch my 16" RXs?
  20. I'm finding that I dont think the 312s are enough anymore either, any recommendations? I have VAG discs and Tarox pads. I was thinkin perhaps go for different disc/pad combo, but I still dont think it will be enough, and want to go more powerful brakes, any advice mate?
  21. This is my only car, and so obviously my daily car. Lately I have been doing a lot of miles in it but planning on get a second car around xmas time which will then be my daily and this will be my weekend.
  22. Buy curtains to match the colour of the painted walls, sorted
  23. I reckon buying one is a good idea, they dont seem too expensive on ebay, cheers for the input guys 8)
  24. Hhhmmm, if it makes naff all difference, is there any point in destroying my already colour coded grill? :?
  25. Can the upper 2 slats can be opened up at home with a dremel or the like for a late style grill? Easy enough?
