I posted on another website and Hotel Chocolat got a few votes there too. Thanks

Any online place to buy decent chocolate? Not high content, it's too bitter. But just really creamy, smooth, type of chocolate? Best place to buy online? Wanna spend anywhere between £50-100. Thank you all kind folk in advance :) EDIT: Please nothing with alcohol in, rum and whatever else they use. Also suitable for vegetarians....

Yeh it let's me put it into manual & from there I can select 1st or 2nd. With the traction control on it's just completely useless really.

Had my first encounter in the snow, and I haven't had a chance to put my winter tyres on yet. The car is useless without winter tyres, even worse with traction control on. Switch the traction control off, keep it in 2nd when moving off and that's the only thing I can say I did differently than in the Corrado. Looking forward to getting the winter tyres on though.

Good tips, thanks. This will be interesting :D

Hehehe, you did a good job :D

I wasn't necessarily too worried about it being a RWD, the more worrying part was getting moving in an auto, thought there might be a technique or something to it. Anyway, winter steelies and tyres ordered :)

No I don't know if that's my size, I just picked the first available option to use as an example here. What does it all mean? How do I find out the exact one for me? BMW says a winter wheel package for £950. ---------- Post added at 12:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 AM ---------- Ok, I've figured it out, thanks. BMW says £950 for Dunlop winter tyres, MyTyres says £660 for Continental winter tyres or £665 for Dunlop winter tyres, I think MyTyres wins :D ---------- Post added at 12:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:04 PM ---------- Which one? http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Dunlop/SP-Winter-Sport-M3-ROF.htm OR http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Continental/WinterContact-TS-830-P.htm ---------- Post added at 12:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:16 PM ---------- Read a few reviews, Dunlop rate slightly better than the Continental in Wet Grip and in Noise levels. Dunlops it is :)

I don't like the BMW forums.... Will phone BMW and see what they say.

It's semi-auto and it allows me to pull away in 2nd. ---------- Post added at 10:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:38 AM ---------- That's a good thought actually, might seriously consider that, thanks. 16s should fit over my front brakes? Erm, whats all this business for the 320d, "346L 1950ccm 100 kW BJ.: 05.1998-09.1999"?

Mr Coullstar I'm up your neck of the woods. Where would you recommend going for the winter tyres?
-
Hhmm, that's not encouraging...

This is the first time I have owned a RWD (My BMW), and it's an automatic. So far as I can see, there is no "snow setting". When moving off, do I leave it in Auto and just be gentle, or do I put it in manual & into 2nd and then move off? Any other tips? I'm not an idiot at driving in the snow, just thought someone who has experience in an Auto RWD may be able to give me some tips so I don't have to find them out myself :)

Mine was a daily drive, including many MANY long journeys all over the country on all sorts of roads & in every sort of weather when I first got it, for about 6years. Now it's SORN but it will become my weekend toy soon-ish.

Jealous!! I've been meaning to get myself on these for a LONG time, just can't get around to it! By the looks of it, I'll skip the Astons but any Lambo and the R8, plus the Atom if I want stains, sorted! :D
-
I agree with that aswell, a neighbour has the 1 M Series and I drool every time I see it. Right, Shall keep those TS-8000 in mind, cheers Kev.
-
I'm thinking that. Which ones have you tried? Which would you recommend? Any specific tyre place you go to in Aberdeen? I haven't been to an independent tyre place in Aberdeen yet.
-
All part of the fun of a RWD eh :D

I pick the car up first weekend in Oct mate, then will get the remap done after. Should be able to post up my feelings on before and afters especially as a trip from Manchester to Aberdeen will be done on the original factory map, will give me a good idea.

Well, I spoke to a few different people and I'm going with Viezu. Going with them direct it works out a fair bit cheaper than going through a garage. I get a V Switch and 2 maps from them, 1 of them being the original and 1 of my own choice (performance, eco etc) for £299. This V Switch is compatible with a lot of cars, and if I ever want another map, it's just another £100 regardless of which car. They seem to get really good reviews and spoken to a couple of people who personally have experience with Viezu and they have been very happy. Anyone know of any issues of remapping my particular car with the auto 'box?
-
I know a few others have also suggested Viezu? Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
-
Email sent to them, thanks.

Any experience with Superchips Bluefin anyone?

Oh it's a long story with the GTR Jim :( Safe to say I no longer have it :(

Absolutely spot on summary right there.
