  1. Sorry for your loss mate, I know how hard it would be for me if I was in your position.
  2. Well I am going with coullstar's recommendation of speaking to that guy. I spoke to him and have decided to get it done from him, the fact he works closely with Vince obviously works in his favour. He said that he should be able to get it up from 80power/144torque to 100power/200torque, which is a healthy increase, and will definitely help with the economy and that should be me happy. And it wont be generic! Even as it stands it's fair nippy and I get decent MPG, I'm just a lil greedy (who isnt?). Plus £30 road tax per year, I cant stop telling that to people especially when you consider I'm saving on fuel costs aswell AND its a proper comfy car, not slow either, a perfect all rounder!
  3. Ever since he has had that stupid new car, he doesnt pay me as much attention. I asked him to do the decent thing and pass me on to a good owner who will give me the care that I so deserve but instead he sent a little notice to the DVLA saying he is keeping me off road. I now have a couple of leads connected to my battery and have been abandoned in his garage!!
  4. Pea roast http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?53878-Ferrari-Revelations.....maybe! You should know better Ben
  5. kevhaywire: I did consider a bigger sized engine but up here where I am right now a suitable car wasnt turning up in the search within my price range (plus there were a few other factors that lead me to going for this car rather than holding out for something else) Not only will I get more power, but better fuel economy too so I'm hoping in the long run it'll still be better than a 1.9/2.0 TDI engined car as an all rounder Just had a look on eBay and that company has a lot of great feedback so I'm thinking they might be ok. coullstar: Will PM him there, thanks for info!
  6. For those of you who don't know, I recently got myself a 2006 Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi as a family runaround. Now as standard it has 80bhp and 144lb/ft, obviously I wanna increase that & with it being a diesel I'm considering just a chip and that should be enough. Looking around google and this company seems to be a lot cheaper than any other website and cheaper than what I would have expected aswell. Anyone have any experience or know anyone who does? Would you say go for it or go for the sites asking around the £300 mark? TDI-Tuning
  7. Thanks for posting up a review! Jealous much yes! I suppose it isn't worth the money when you look at the specs sheet alone but when you take into account everything gone into the model, it makes it a little easier to accept the price tag.
  8. Ah well, never mind Wazza, will certainly keep it in mind for the next time. Looking forward to getting the economy, and only £30 road tax for 12months, can't go wrong :D
  9. Hehehe, I ended up getting a 2006 Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi, now, how can I increase the power of this beast....
  10. LOL, I'm loving the suggestions, and I have considered the Fabia VRS, but again cant seem to find one that readily. Can people please stick to the provided 3 cars lol
  11. Hhmmm, shame that. I'm very tempted by the Astra if I'm honest, moreso than either the Golf or the Ibiza.
  12. Why was it the worst car? What was wrong with it? I'm surprised by that if I'm honest... :?
  13. I would love to, but cos its a family car, my missus needs to drive it and the Mazda 6 is too big for her. So it has to be around a Mazda 3 size (which she actually doesnt like), hence these cars...
  14. I did think about a mk2 focus but cant seem to find a decent one yet. I sort of need to get one from a dealer so I can trade in my current family runaround, I need a car asap and I cant really afford to wait tp post an ad for mine & then wait for someone to eventually buy it...
  15. Hehehe, fancy coming with me to haggle How much you reckon? You would say no to the Astra?
  16. As title of thread, out of these 3, which would you say is the better car? The main thing that I need from this family car is economy! As cheap to run in MPG, to maintain, to fix if something goes wrong, etc etc. And, a lot of space, mainly boot space. 2005 VAUXHALL Astra 1.7 CDTi 16v Sport 2004 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF 1.9 S TDI 5DR 100BHP 2005 SEAT Ibiza 1.9TDi Sport 100
  17. Lol, yeh, sound like it! I'm glad I live up in Scotland where it can take some times for things like to reach us!
  18. http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/02022011/36/ne ... ras-0.html Thoughts?
  19. Wasn't able to find anything that cheap otherwise that would have been my solution also!
  20. Hhhmmm, seems winters tyres are still winning, interesting!
  21. Any comments on the "Next generation snow chains" then?
  22. I was just wondering about the solution to wintery weather and thought it might actually be decent discussion. I know many of us consider winter tyres, which are a great option. What if you can't afford the money/space for another set of tyres/wheels, perhaps due to lack of funds, or space or you own a number of vehicles which you use all year round? Snow socks, or as the proper term is "AutoSocks" I think it is? Tyre spray? (Various other YouTube vids available of them showing it on ice aswell and various other names but essentially same idea) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hALJDiNnq-k Next generation snow chains? SnoClaws (They show you how it fits towards the end of the vid)? (How do you get youtube vids to come up automatically?) Any ideas people? I actually really like the idea of the spray in the can, or perhaps even the sock? What's the general consensus?
  23. Nice one mate, well done!! I'm sure you'll enjoy, just remember us all when you're having fun, I mean working :D
