Can't help it mate, what's in the blood is in the blood. I feel sick every time I look at the 1 series!!! This has a lovely drive though, I wasn't going to get one without the MSport suspension, to me it makes all the difference. The driving position is beautiful, the feedback is wonderful, the lovely chunky steering wheel, it's just pure pleasure to drive.

A 320d MSport, Auto :D 2litre, 177bhp, now all I need is to find someone to get it chipped :)

I think before I bought the Corrado I own now, I walked up to 3 different Corrado owners asking to buy theirs. 2 were parked at their own house, and 1 was at a petrol station. The 2 that were parked, I just walked up to the house and asked if they knew who owned the Corrado and took it from there. Be polite, be straightforward, don't play games and be genuine. One of the conversations I had out of those 3 Corrado owners, lasted over 2 hours :)

Sorry, you're gonna have to remind me, have we met, I don't recognise the username?
-
You're right. I'll let you all tell me about it.

I would have joined in with the "I'll be there for my free bacon" banter but as a muslim, I would have to say I'll come to witness Mr Fishwick's bap getting some meat.

No mention of UniRoyal RainSports in the last 5 or so pages of this thread, no one rate them any more? -
Hehehe, I think someone wants me to by V2s. emu: What have you got on the car now?
-
Awesome GTI and Venom Motorsport are by far the cheapest out there for KW V3s.
-
That sounds about what I had in mind. Guess I'll find out as I drive. Thanks for the help people :)

What other suspension parts would be recommended to get changed whilst I'm at it then?

My Haywire (sorry, I know you by your old name ) knows my tastes I think.

I know this is not the correct forum to be posting these questions - should be in Drivetrain and Engines etc but I have a few questions and I want to keep them all together please. I have been out of the "Corrado game" for a long time now, I didn't have great knowledge back then and what I did have, has gone from my brainbox. The Corrado should be coming out of hibernation, soon I hope but I know I need a few things done before it will pass it's MOT, and some other things I'd rather get done due to the wear & tear and simply because I want them done. I will (eventually) be getting a Turbo on the car (the head has already been done with ARP bolts and a spacer, timing chains done too so fingers cross that side of things should be fine). With your suggestions, please keep in mind I want this car to be as comfortable as possible (it won't be a track car, but I will possibly want to track it now and then), whilst trying to keep the handling & performance as best as possible. 1) Need a new radiator - OEM? Are they still available? Anything else you recommend? 2) Hoses - I was thinking Samco? Have there been any new developments that surpass or equal Samco? Any other recommendations? 3) I know for a fact I need new suspension. Back when I used to frequent this place KW V3 was all the rage, is this still the case? If so, where is the best place to buy from? If not, what would you recommend? I basically want the best (not £5k best though before someone recommends something ridiculous). Along with the getting the suspension, what else? Front top mounts? Anything else? The car has been tucked away since Jan 2011, anything you wonderful folk would recommend checking? Anything you would say just change, even without checking? Anything I may have missed? Just keep in mind, my mechanical knowledge is very basic and simple....

I remember driving both a while ago and thinking there was a huge difference between the two. Was I imagining it or am I right? Would you recommend go for the 2.0? Whichever I go for, I will be remapping it for certain.

Oh very nice indeed!! Haven't had a chance to drive one of them yet, really really want to!

A pic that brings a tear to your corrado's eye.

Well, it isn't listed any more. -
AAhhh, it didn't need an extraction, sorted! :D

Mate, it's a shame we didn't get a chance to meet up, I would have loved to take you out in it and would have let you drive it too, I usually tend to agree with your opinions on cars. I was wondering about your wisdom tooth, never got around to PM'ing you. Was it a surgical or a straightforward extraction?

Wendy: Any particular knife you had in mind? You want a neck knife? Or a folding knife? Or a fixed blade knife? What sort of tasks will you put it through? You know the UK rules for carrying a knife?

8.04, he deserves to lose his fingers.

It's funny, a lot of people ask me what I am getting next, and for my daily driver I'm getting a Golf Mk5 TDi, maybe a Mk6 but unlikely and they all gasp in horror saying "how can you go from that to that". I'm not the type to turn my nose up at anything just 'cos I have the money for an expensive car. I love cars, end of. I don't care if it's valued at £500 or £500k, I'm a true petrolhead, simples!! I have a lot of people turn their nose up at me who are in their Porsches and I just can't be bothered with it. My cousin had an S2000 and what a go-kart that was!! Unbelievable amounts of fun to be had. Go-kart like steering, great gearbox, gooooood brakes and such fun handling! Well it is YOU eh mate, of COURSE you're going to turbo it!!!! In the right hands, a turbo-ed S2000 will trouble a hell of lot of cars! The thing about the GTR is, it finds grip where there is no grip, it's like magic, seriously! There is a particular corner around where I live where it's known to be greasy/slippery in the wet, where a *good* handling car goes around about 35ish. When I say good handling car, I'm talking a Subaru Impreza. In the GTR, in the wet, I was doing 47 and that was only cos 47 was "my" limit, not the car's limit! Man alive this thing is a beast! I'm gonna start to change my mind about getting rid of it if I go on about it any longer. My friends who like luxury cars, think it's too loud, that's only cos he is used to a Jag XJ, complete serenity. Those that don't *need* silent cars say it's fairly comfortable & quiet. If cruising 75mph, it's fairly relaxing. I know all the motor journalists say it's too hard for the roads, but I (and a good friend agrees) say it's not. It's more compliant than the Turbo IMO, less fidgety. And if you're get a car that has this sort of handling, of course it's going to be stiffer than an S Class.... That knife is hard enough to go through the body panel of our Corrados.... :D

Yeh that's another car that I would love to own one day. Lotus Carlton. Damnit, even a Mk1 and Mk2 Golf to see how they were to drive, any interesting car, a Citreon 2CV, a Lada, Reliant Robin, 205GTi, Clio Williams, Focus RS, I'm very much into any car that had/has some sort of personality. I just want to drive every car out there to see what it's like, I have a lot to get through

Well yes, I was thinking of a Porsche lol, but any decent competitor at the time when I consider it again. But then again, there are still many many, SSOOO MANY other cars that I want to try, who knows when that will be. HHmmm, priorities is also one other factor that is pushing me to sell the GTR. A friend got a Boxster as a courtesy when he was getting his 911 Turbo serviced and we had a good run it. Boy that car is fun, it's SUCH a hoot it's just silly! Another friend has the Cayman S, and even at low speeds, the grin it puts on your face it's comical. Porsche are amazing cars!! But even old school cars, the Audi Quattro, the Lancia Delta, the Original 70s Aston Martin Vantage and the late 90's Aston Martin Vantage twin supercharged, the F355, an Elise, the Exige, the Evora, the original BMW M3, the new BMW 1M, the original Toyota Corolla AE86 for laughs, I'm running out of breath!!! With a whole lot more to go.
