  1. So I take it I just need a new one? Is it just a case of take out old and fit in new or is it complicated?
  2. When the car is cold and I press the clutch pedal, no noises at all, but when the car has been driven for a while and I press the clutch pedal, you hear a spring being pressed and depressed, you dont notice as you drive around but everytime I park up in the garage after a run I hear it. What is it and does it mean anything?
  3. Now THAT is a damn mean lookin mofo :D I've seen; Lancia Delta Integrale *drool* Lamborghini Diablo SV Ferrari 512 (I think) A few Gallardo's now
  4. Are you on the standard sized discs? Or bigger ones? Either my pads still havent bedded in yet or I'm just not happy with the setup. I've done roughly about 250miles I think, and they're not confidence inspiring yet.
  5. Good advice kev, well I have stuck on the 17s (with those Toyo T1-S :-(), so I'm just waiting for them to wear down and then get Eagle F1s all round.
  6. Goddamn, you shine 'em pretty good eh, nice work man.
  7. Yeh I think the 17s definitely do look better, but if they compromise the handling that much, I'd rather stick with the 15s.
  8. If you like the 15s so much, why change from them?
  9. I think you have the shiny shiny ones, lol, chrome or whatever, I have the silver ones, but same design.
  10. Damn you, now I'll have to get the 17s..... which means more money
  11. Thanks for that Jim. Kev: I agree that 17s definitely look better, but dont the 16s handle better? I really noticed a lot of difference in handling going form the 17s to 15s in that the 15s handled better, without a doubt.
  12. Thanks for the advice Kev. Any links Jim?
  13. Yeh, as soon as 1 person jumps out of the car, it instantly feels faster. Well I did notice going from 17s to 15s (when I bought the car) that with the 15s, the car felt quicker, steering was lighter and also felt like it better control. I actually do want 16s (BBS RX) but I cant afford them right now so will just shove those 17s back on for the look, they (BK Racing 299) look better than the Solitudes
  14. You mean as in have less people in the car? What happens if there is load on the upgraded wheels?
  15. Well, just have to wait for someone else now, thanks for your input.
  16. Got it aswell, I think it's worth it, definitely a good read.
  17. How different are these from the Pagid Fast Roads? Since the FRs seem to be a favourite here, and what about the inital bite and brake dust? The FRs dont seem to have that initial bite which gives you a false sense of "my brakes aren't working" which can be a tad scary until you put your foot down further, lol.
  18. That's a good site, handy to know that. Any info on how if affects other parts of the car?
  19. Right, a friend once told me that if you put on alloys that are bigger than the original size, you need to go down in profile size as such also, for example; 205/50 15 205/40 16 205/30 17 Ie, taking off 10 from the profile size each time you go up an inch in alloy size, if you dont then you risk excessive wear and tear to components such as CV joints (I think it was) and a couple of other things he mentioned. He also said that odometer would be out and the speedomoter would be out aswell, and that it would affect the geometry too. Can someone clarify this please? And possibly elaborate?
  20. Very nice indeed mate, do you think that might be one for the "Unique mods" thread? :)
  21. Mine has a tint on it, actually has a sticker on the window saying "Factory tint", didnt check the name though, will have a check next time I take her for a spin, which should be quite soon :)
  22. I LOVE daves16v. I ordered a pair of the door handle repair kits (but only passenger side was broken), and took it along to a friends where about 3 of us tried to fix it to no avail, must have spent about 2 hours. The next day I took it to a mechanics, and we just couldnt fit the damn screw in the pivot pin, that was our only problem, and so we spent the whole day, again with no results. I PM'ed dave, told him the situation, and he offered to fix it for me, sent it on Monday and got the handles back today (the same Friday) at a VERY good price. He even packaged the handles better than I did, what a top guy. Thank you dave, my passenger's will have the luxury of being abe to open their own door again, WOOHOOO!!!! :-D
  23. Umm yeh, I have a Storm too... and umm yeh, I live in Dundee too, so that's at least 4 Storms in Dundee then eh.
