Lol, was that directed at my signature?

It's good that people make mistakes though, other people (and you) learn from them. No matter how stupid they are, we all do it.
-
I like them to be honest, and am actually thinking of doing this eventually aswell.
-
I like it, I just wish they had been a more crazy with their styling though.
-
So that was/is a common problem with them? Any ideas why? Anyone driven those, what are they like? How do they compare to the VR is what I really want to know.
-
http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread ... 980&page=1 Just imagine that was your C... how gutted would you be?
-
The car takes 6 litres, but I put in 5.5 litres which leaves the oil level exactly in the middle of the "min-max" level of the dipstick.
-
When I did an oil change when I bought her, I put in Castrol Magantec GTX 15W-40, but at a service not too long, the VW Quantum 15W-40 stuff was put in, and the Quantum definitely feels better than the Castrol Magnatec did. But that's the only 2 different types of oils I have experienced in my VR.

I cant wait to build my own kit car one day, one day... I will, just you watch! Can you even buy it like that? -
Well, I've not bedded them in yet, but they already feel a lot better than the OE ones I had before, mind you a big part to play in that could also be the fact the brake fluid was manky, so thats new too. Can't wait till they start to bite properly :-D

Hhhmm... what was the question again? :-P

Took her in for a service at the Stealers, lol, one of the salesman comes running in the service dept shouting "That's a Storm isn't it", I'm like yeh, so we have a chat for a bit and he has this huge grin on his face the whole time. I later asked the guy (who was servicing my car) what the salesman drives.... "a Porsche", needless to say, I'm extremely chuffed :-D

Damn, I'm so jealous right now, me and a few friends have done enough road trips, except they have all been within the confines of UK, lol, not much of a road trip I hear you say. One day, I will do a "proper" road trip too :-)

Over how long of a time period will this take place and any ideas on the miles that you will be covering? How many are you going with?
-
standard 0-60 times... mines weird but good!
Dr Forinor replied to chris CORRADO's topic in General Car Chat
Actually, Top Gear said 6.7, but that's also VW's quoted time so maybe they didnt actually test it themselves and just blurted out what VW said. -
Good info, thanks guys.

Why would it be more difficult to get up steeper hills? But so far a lightened flywheel sounds like a good idea, any drawbacks at all?
-
Ok, bear with a newbie here, why do people go for "lightened and balanced" flywheels? What is the advantage of this over the OE one? Is there any disadvantage (ie longevity etc etc)? Any links to info would also be apprecited. Thanks in advance

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Dr Forinor replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Got the car serviced from the Stealers, changed the brake fluid and changed my front brake pads from OE to Pagid Fast Roads And even though these haven't been bedded in yet, they feel a lot better than they did before the change, I assume the brake fluid change will have a part to play in that too. Car feels like new... :-D -
CAR: VR6 I've still got the OE exhaust, I will assume it's the original, 10 years on. Once it goes I'm likely to go for something that will give me a nice burble at idling and low speeds but kick in nicely when floored. So will have to do some research before i buy it.

?? - Aint seen that happen. Been on Peugeot for about 13 years. Some small cracks now, though. On Peug and C both, they unclip easily when you wash the car so you can wash headlamp lenses and behind plastic guards - takes seconds. You must be talking about type different to mine, I reckon. That's what I'm thinking, I actually dont think they stand out at all and no one has commented on them at all and taking them off doesnt even take 5 seconds.
-
Doesnt it make you feel good when you see a Corrado in a special list like that? :D
-
What engine is that?
-
And in the dry? I didnt think they were all that in the dry either but in the wet they were just scary!
